Don't try to use the "Connections" tab on WB account. It doesn't work - it will ask you for a 2FA code, and once you receive that code, the page will be reset and you'll get HTTP 429 Too Many Requests when trying to log-in again.
Instead, launch the game on the console, and use the "Link Account" option once asked, and apply the code (without the hypen) at https://account.wbgames.com/device

FINAL EDIT UPDATE: so I dont know how, but it suddenly connected, and gave me my rewards today when I turned on the game to play. I was watching some twitch channels in order to collect the twitch reward drops (just some fun cosmetic stuff, for anyone who might not know. Go to this sub-reddit’s search field and search “twitch drops in depth”. There is a comprehensive ‘everything you need to know/do’ post that will walk you through how to get anything available right now.) but anyway, I was watching the twitch drop streams to get my rewards, and when I logged on today, the game told me everything is connected! I guess I was trying to login with the correct credentials and it was just bogs down and needed time. (Previous) EDIT UPDATE: I am no longer attempting to link. My PS5 is not able to even connect to WB games now, but I suspect it’s as innocent as the servers are under a very heavy load at the moment. I have settled for just letting the magic of the game forge my first character. Lt the magic begin, folks! Original post: Came to report that I’m trying to link at the official launch time (have not done any smoke and mirrors to play early or anything) My WB account won’t link either. I pop in my login info and it thinks about it for a long while, then says “⚠️something went wrong. Please try again” Will continue attempts until I either get through, or get impatient and give up on linking for now. I’ll update if anything changes. Fifth time retrying, and I still got the same error message, but with more detail, saying: “Please check that you are signing into the correct account or create a new account to continue. I don’t understand why people are saying to restart the game - the game seems to be working fine, it’s the website that isn’t letting me log in to link the accounts. And before anyone says anything, yes I’ve tried closing the game - didn’t change anything
