I just bought the Acer Aspire 3
How's the display screen on yours? I bought an Aspire 3 with Intel i5-1235 and the display is atrocious. The colors look washed out and patchy and turn negative if I look at the screen at any angle other than straight on. I couldn't find out what kind of screen Acer used because it's not listed on the documentation, but I suspect it's a very low quality TN panel. More on reddit.com

The ryzen cpu will have Vega gpu which is more powerful than the i5 integrated graphics, so depends if you need more graphics power since all the cpu in your post are all 4 cores so all will perform around the same. More on reddit.com

Hello everyone. This is my first post here and I would like some opinions on my recent laptop purchase.
As the title says, I just bought the Acer Aspire 3 and I went for this laptop because my company already supplied me with a laptop with a decent GPU to run BIM software. I bought the Acer as my personal laptop since my Asus X455L is already showing its age (I purchased the Asus during 2017).
Here is the Acer Aspire 3 specs that I bought:
Ryzen 5 7520U (iGPU AMD Radeon)
16GB DDR5
512GB SSD Memory
Windows 11
Will this be enough to be used in a long term for work and light gaming? I only play a bit of Dota 2, Honkai Star Rail and emulators. As for work, it seems the laptop can run Prota and AutoCAD with ease as of now.

I am looking for a decent laptop that I want to buy for a person that will use it mainly for writing documents, web browsing, some Affinity Designer/Photo usage etc. No gaming or extreme stuff, but with enough performance to get the job done.
I shortlisted some Acer Aspire 5 515 models. Basically, the same laptop is offered with 8 GB RAM, 512 GB NVME storage, 15-inch IPS display, however, with a different CPU:
A515-55-53BS: i5-1035G1 (1.0-3,6 GHz, 4C/8T)
A515-54-56D6: i5-10210U (1.6-4.2 GHz, 4C/8T)
A515-44-R2J2: Ryzen 3 4300U (2.7-3.7 GHz, 4C/4T)
There's also an older model:
A515-43-R20Q: Ryzen 5 3500U (2.1-3.7 GHz, 4C/8T)
This comparison indicates similar performance. There are a few reviews that mention some cooling issues which cause throttling of the i5 models and . I did not find a review for the newer AMD model, though.
I was speculating that a Ryzen 3 model could perform better and not throttle as much as i5 models since the cooling solution in this particular laptop is not stellar. Besides, the AMD model is cheaper.
