I have pets, so dust and dander are a big issue in my house, doored display is a must, but sometimes I want to display things on shelves where there aren't any; so I keep a look-out for things like this!
[Ikea Skuffen](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/skuffen-shoe-box-clear-30532356/)
originally for shoes, but I think it'll be great for some nendroids or taller things if set on end.
Hey all,
I am Currently using a Detolf, however with both NECA TMNT, Joy Toy Mecha’s and SW Vintage Collection all getting more love in the coming months/years (and Detolf being retired by Ikea) I am looking for a new cabinet.
So far the most attractive one seems to be the Milsbo (as pictured). I caugt myself trying to put most of my stuff on the 3 main shelves in my current Detolf (as the bottom is simply so close to the ground that it feels like the “punishment shelf for figures”. This one however, lifted from the ground, would really negate that issue. Furthermore its only a few inches short of being double the size of the Detolf (and smaller in its footprint then using 2 cabinets side by side). However… the elephant in the room is ofcourse the door frame running through the middle, creating essentially a kind of “split” in the shelve where you don’t want to really put a figure in the middle of (unless you want to obscure it from frontal view). So what are you guys thoughts? Is the door frame a deal breaker? Maybe someone has this cabinet and might be willing to give some measurement of the door frame middle?
I need to get some new display cases and trying to find a new alternative specifically for more budget figures or 1/7 or 1/6 scale ones. I had bought only one detolf before they got discontinued. I then bought two Klingsbo, they're ok and I love how tall they are but don't like that the shelve spaces between aren't very high so tall figures don't fit or fit too snug. So super tall figures don't fit (like big bunny girls) unless I remove some of the glass shelves.
I was considering getting a Milsbo or a Vittsjoe.
I'm trying to look for a tall display case so most figures sit at eye level. I also want to get shelves for taller scale figures. I know Billy ones are popular for those but they aren't my favorite. Any other recommendations for display cases that work for super tall figures would be appreciated as well! Don't have to be from IKEA. I also live in the United States, so preferably something that I can ship from here.
Also, any IKEA or other shelves from other brands that aren't recommended?
Thanks!
