Hello everyone. I have recently purchased an iphone 13 mini and made the transition from android. Good experience so far. As I have a pair of AKG Samsung earphones with USB-C, which I was using with my previous android phone, I didn't want to invest in a new pair of earphones (or airpods or anything like that), as I wanted to continue to use said earphones. So, I looked up online and purchased a fairly cheap USB-C to Lightning adaptor from McDodo, which would allow me to use the USB-C earphones with my iphone. However, the adaptor seems not work for this specific purpose. It is brandly new, and it works if I try to charge the phone or connect it to a laptop, but the phone simply doesn't recognize the earphones when I try to plug them in. Anyone knows anything about the technicalities of this, and if:

How can I find them? (none which I checked mentioned anything about this)

You need the lightning to USB camera adapter, then an USB A-C adapter, then it will work. This is how I use my usb C DAC with both my 14 pro and iPad 9th gen. The Apple official adapter specifically lists “camera” in its name, and there are other adapters that look the same but do not work and say nothing about “camera”

I have a setup of a 12W iPad charger with a .5m USB to lightning cable plugged into a countertop outlet. This this works perfectly for charging all lightning devices.
I’m thinking about getting an iPad Pro, which has a USB C port instead of lighting. It comes with an 18W USB C charger. So I think no worries, I’ll just get a .5m USB C cable —nope, not sold. Okay, I’ll get a lightning to USB C adapter — sorry, not sold either. What about USB C to lightning adapter — lol.
What’s the point of having a USB C port? So far It has zero benefit for me. Just messes up my setup with extra long unnecessary cables. Why do none of these cables or adapters exist for USB C but were available for lightning?

IMO, lighting is a consumer grade port with limited functionality. USB-C makes sense on the iPad Pro because it actually enables the use of some pro-level equipment. And I don’t just mean creative pros (which seems to be what most people like to associate with “pro”). Mundane tasks like being able to plug in a pendrive, hard drive, connecting to a Ethernet adaptor or project to a display are all valuable abilities if you want any hope of using the iPad Pro in a working environment. This is why it’s an iPad “Pro”. Sure, I’d like to also like to be able to handle encrypted external drives, external photo libraries and print over USB (all things it doesn’t yet do afaik), but the fact that it’s a full fledged USB-C port brings a lot more flexibility, especially since a lot of features can be added later in software. If you literally only use the iPad for watching Netflix and the port for charging, maybe the iPad “Pro” isn’t designed for you.

All of my devices use USB-C except my AirPods and most of the people I know have iPhones. Are there any good USB-C to Lightning adapters I can get so I can still use my chargers? I've heard that adapters like that can be damaging for devices but I don't know if there's much truth to that.

They're not approved by Apple. C-to-Lightning cables are MFi approved. I would seriously not purchase anything until Apple OKs it. It's their proprietary connector. Shady folks who try to reverse engineer it could do it badly, and you'd have to explain how you killed your airpod case to the Genius Bar.

There are USB-C PD to lighting cables that comes as complete set. I would use those compared to standard USB-A to lightining. However Apple did get slapped with you must upgrade everything to support USB-C. Iphone 15 is supposed to support USB-C then. With those changes they should be changing their other devices to support USB-C also.
