Hello,
I have a client who is an S Corp and uses ADP Run for their payroll. The owner has two profiles setup for himself - one as W2 and the other as a 1099. We recently started a 401k for the business but the payroll integration is not working for him because he has two profiles under the same SSN which is causing an error.
My question is does he need a 1099 profile or can this be deleted so the payroll integration works?
Thank you in advance, I really need to figure this out for them!

Yeah ADP gets weird with duplicate SSNs like that - you can probably just delete the 1099 profile if he's getting proper W2 treatment as owner anyway

Is he getting paid under both profiles? It was my understanding that ADP always advised they could not pay both w-2 and 1099s under the same company code. When we needed 1099 payments they made us open a second company code so they were intermingled.
