To be honest, I don't think the supervisors should be doing this. If they've approved timecards, submitted any reimbursements, status changes, etc., their job is done. The Payroll admins need to be the ones combing the register for irregularities and checking that things like deductions, taxes, garnishments, etc. are properly applied. Those are things that the supervisor really don't need to be seeing. More on reddit.com

ADP is reliable until it isn’t. Runs usually process, but fixes can take time and involve multiple handoffs. And the inconsistent support really doesn't make things easier. I'd say its okay for basic setups, its just frustrating for anything complex. More on reddit.com

Absolute despise it for recruiting and onboarding! Really clunky and not really an ATS in my opinion. We went with another software for that. Luckily ADP integrates with a ton of softwares. Time sheets are fine but I will admit I don’t have anything to compare it to. More on reddit.com

The pros- it’s the biggest so they have the most services. The technology is pretty easy to use. My company has almost all the modules and services ADP offers including tax, garnishment, benefits, ACA, 401k, etc. The cons are- all the above services are handled separately so we have different points of contact for each. If there are issues or when something needs to change, it often affects or cascades to other areas or is hard to figure out where the problem originated. But each ADP department takes the “not our problem” stance which is incredibly frustrating. For example, benefit deductions not setup correctly but benefits team says payroll support needs to handle it and payroll support says benefits team needs to fix. Then we’re just stuck in the middle. If you can find a dedicated good payroll rep who stays on your account, that is the best case. We had the same gal for 5 years and she knew our account in and out and was so helpful. Then they made us change to a new model where we essentially call into a call center and get a person who seems they’ve never even used ADP before. It can be a nightmare. If you can do everything yourself and maintain the system on your own, it’s okay! More on reddit.com

For those who use WFN - do you know of any way for supervisors to be able to review the payroll for ONLY their home departments, without having full payroll practitioner access?
We have many locations, all under the same EIN. Right now, I calculate payroll, then go through the payroll register and copy/paste each locations piece of the report into a separate SharePoint spreadsheet for them to review. It's very manual. But ADP says the only option is for them to have payroll access and we do NOT want that.
For those wondering, we do this because we are a small payroll team of 2, with 2000+ seasonal employees. While we do our best to ensure accuracy, we're remote and they know their staff best. So the extra sets of eyes on their piece of the payroll helps catch the occasional missed items. Wondering if anyone else has a similar situation and fix.
ETA: Only the General Manager (top boss) at each location is seeing the payroll register for their site. Dept level managers and supervisors are not involved.

I am not aware of this being an option. Manager view is very limited. How come reviewing & approving the EEs timecards is not enough?
