It’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow! Bought him a ps5 awhile back. Going to buy an extra controller, so we can spend quality time together. I’ve been so busy lately, that he hasn’t gotten much attention (haha I bet he begs to differ, I don’t leave him alone if he’s around). But I don’t game. I am a tv girl. The game has to have a plot.
He’s recently been playing this medieval game where he makes potions, gathers flowers, etc. I like that one a lot!
I liked watching him play cyberpunk. Love the themes! Very fascinating.
He played the battlefield trial game yesterday? Idek. I wasn’t a fan. Too chaotic.
Any ideas? Also - he has to be able to play it himself when I inevitably quit.

If you want two player games (without ability to play solo), then look at: A way out It takes two Split fiction Unravel 2 (beware, Unravel 1 is single player game) If you want games that can be played by one or two persons, then look at: Crash Team Racing Overcooked Tekken Mortal combat Darksiders Genesis But play competitive games at your own risk, they can end up with arguing, yelling and physical violence. Especially Overcooked can be very toxic game.

Not everyone knows this, but Horizon Forbidden West has a feature called copilot where you can both control the main character together, using two controllers that have equal control. I played it with my oldest son when he was six and very interested in the games I was playing but lacked the skill to play them. It enabled him to have as much control as he could handle, but then I could easily take over when we had to fight a big enemy or something like that. The game is a 10 out of 10, definitely one of the best on PS5, so if he hasn't played it, he really should. Another great co-op game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge, a simple arcade style beat em up that is just good mindless fun but it's executed really well. We also like TMNT Splintered Fate, which is a co-op roguelite game so it's more challenging, more interesting gameplay, and more replayability potential. If you know Hades, this one is "Hades with ninja turtles". Honorable mention to Trine 4 and Knack 2, both of which are great collaborative adventure games where my younger son and I find ourselves talking, problem solving, and laughing a lot together as we play.
