I typically buy leggings from either Athleta, Lululemon, or CRZ, each with different purposes. For high compression, I prefer the Athleta Ultimate stash. I use these for running and biking. They run ~$100. They’re also about 30% cheaper than LuluLemon (LLL), which is a ridiculous $140ish for pockets. However, LLL has nicer colors, and I love their WunderTrains for medium compression. It’s a good mix of compression for weight lifting + flexibility for movement. LLL is famous for their Align, which is useful for yoga, but it’s really high maintenance and delicate. For yoga, CRZ is my favorite. It’s basically a LLL dupe, but thicker fabric (no panty lines) and I find it to be more flexible than LLL. It’s also ~$35, a huge difference. Also comes with pockets. I prefer these for casual wearing as well. All three options have crossover styles, but I don’t recall off the top of my head which are which. If you go with Athleta, their Transcend is most similar to LLL’s Align. Their Salutations are supposed to be similar to WTs, but I personally hate Salutations cuz they roll a lot on me. Athleta also recently got a new style of leggings, I think it’s called Inspire? Something with an “I” that I find to be more similar to WTs but it’s very compressive. May 13, 2024I don't know if anyone is interested in this colour comparison, but I thought Aerie's crossover flared pant in Tree Line would look more like lulu's Copper Brown and I was very disappointed by the aerie colour.

May 6, 2024 - That’s weird, idk if it’s the Canadian site but I see petite sizing for everything flared? Once you click on a pant, it lets you select a color, then regular/petite/tall, then a size. More replies More replies ... I tried that one on a few months ago, and it wasn’t very comfortable for me :( Aerie is usually my go-to for leggings so I was bummed about these.

I used to be an extremely loyal aerie shopper, but within the last 2 years the quality has dropped so badly (like I have 8 year old leggings in better shape than the leggings I bought 6 months ago)
Needless to say, I’m now starting to be in the market for new leggings, and I have no clue where to look since I’ve pretty much only purchased aerie ones for years. I typically like the crossover or high waist styles, I don’t love drawstrings, and I love having pockets. My current issue with the aerie leggings is that they’re getting threadbare in the inner thighs really fast and one of the pairs is pilling.
Are there any athleta styles that may be a good fit for me? Or any other brand recommendations? Also, how flexible is the return policy? I’ve heard so many good things about the brand but there’s no stores near me. Thanks in advance!

November 2, 2021 - Besides not liking the colour, the crossover flared leggings (they are frickin yoga pants come on zoomers) are my favourite pair of pants at the moment! I tried the SHR groove Nulu Lulu ones and they just didn't work for me but these aerie ones are fantastic.
