Does anyone know of and recommend any affordable modular sofa/couch brands? Our budget is about $2-3k and I'm hoping for a 4 seater. We're trying to find something that's comfy and can last at least 5 years without breaking our bank. It's crazy how expensive couches/sofas are now with inflation and what not. Even comparing prices from 2 years ago, some furniture have doubled in price!
My husband and I are newly weds. We purchased a chofa (sofa with a chaise) from Bob's Furniture last year as our first budget couch, however after about a year of using it, we're noticing that the seats are starting to sink in and it's honestly not comfortable to sit in it for prolonged periods of time. The other thing we hate about this chofa is that the seat cushions aren't secured by velcro or anything so they just slide out when you sit on them - very annoying.
We've finally decided it's time to get rid of this chofa and buy a new couch. We're actually hoping to get a modular sofa so that when we buy our own house (hopefully soon), we can add to it if we want to.
Some brands we've looked into already but I'm feeling iffy about are:
Burrow: we went into the showroom and tried out all of their couches. Although they are on the more affordable side ($1.5-2.5k for a 4 seater), I'm reading countless reviews about how terrible the quality is. I asked the concierge at the showroom about how long the sofa is suppose to last and he told me the material is memory foam and should last about 10 years. I did not believe this as the showroom couches (which he told me had only been there for about 2 years) were already sinking in the areas where people have sat..
Floyd: I love the look of the floyd modular sectionals but I've read that the customer service is not very reliable and people have not had the best experience with this company.
Joybird: has terrible reviews about quality and customer service.
Lovesac: looks comfy and has decent reviews but too expensive for us.
Has anyone found a brand they really like and didn't have to pay a fortune for? Any advice appreciated!!!!

I've read recommendations to find a sofa/couch locally (vs. online mass-produced) for better deals (and try it in-person), so just throwing this out there if anyone knows of a good furniture place they'd recommend in San Diego!
Specifically looking for an affordable MODULAR sofa/couch that's comfortable & good quality (not too soft/saggy, & won't go flat quickly.
My husband and I don't have pets or kids (yet). We're moving into a new apartment. The size also doesn't need to be big... we just want to have chaise(s) / section(s) where we can lay down or guest(s) could sleep on if needed!
Options I'm considering so far:
Belffin 6 Seats + 5 Sides Modular Terry Sleeper Sofa with Storage Seat
Belffin 8 Seats Modular Velvet Tufted Sleeper Sofa
Costco's Thomasville Dillard Sofa with Reversible Chaise (not modular, but the price!)
Lovesac Sactional (though a lot more expensive)
VIDE Sectional by FOA West (though very risky without reviews)
Budget: ~1.5-2K max
Size: 3-8 seats
Style: Modern
Online/In-Person: Ideally in-person to try it, & want it delivered.
Thanks in advance!
