Sorry in advance, I know these things are talked about often. But they’re expensive and I want to make sure I’m getting the right one.
Can someone who knows a lot about this product recommend a specific model for lap swimming? It looks like they have different models, and they have also changed their brand name.
I’m also wondering how well they stay on with flipturns.
And do you need a swimming cap to keep them secure.

I’ve had mine for 4 years now. The original swimming headphones from them were called xtrainers. I swim 6-8 hours a week and wear them for another 30ish minutes after my workout while I’m in the shower. The battery lasts the whole week and I only need to charge it on my rest day to ensure I’m fully charged for the next week. Sometimes I’ve forgotten to charge it and it will last me another day or two so from my experience their 8 hour battery life claim is on the conservative side. Since owning them I’ve never had an issue with them staying on for anything (strokes, turns, or otherwise). I actually often times would forget that I was wearing them, even though I have music playing in my head. I find them incredibly comfortable when compared to their biggest competitor, the zygo’s. However as a guy with longer hair I do wear a cap. Now having said that there was one time I swam without a cap because my old one ripped and the new one hadn’t arrived yet, and I don’t recall having any concern about them coming off. I was more annoyed with little strains of hair in my face that if I was having an issue with the headphones, I wouldn’t have even noticed. If I had any complaint it would be in my challenge to get music on them because I live in the Apple ecosystem (which is more a complaint about Apple not playing nicely with others than of the headphones). It’s not overly difficult, but requires an extra step or two, but if you already have mp3 files on your computer then you shouldn’t have an issue. At that point is just a matter or drag and drop. Overall though, I would highly recommend them. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

You’re right, this is asked often. The shokz website clearly has only one model that is waterproof for swimming. Literally called “open swim.” Your other questions are fair game I suppose but did you try searching the sub first? That might help you.
