Even though it's been done before, this one-line thing is clever and cool, and it leads us towards a preference for functional minimalism. Problem is, a business card is supposed to be original and represent you and this totally doesn't. You can do more versions of this that use some color, or have a background image, or don't use Helvetica. Seriously, Helvetica is the worst choice for a business card because it's so ignorable. It's designed to be neutral and you want to stand out. Go back to the drawing board and come up with something that represents your personality and abilities. More on reddit.com

You should get Illustrator or InDesign for best results and less work. If you have to use only Photoshop, make sure you create your document at exactly the dimensions you want for your business card (likely credit card size) @ 300 PPI. Add about 3 mm (or the equivalent in inches) around the sides for bleed (since you don't actually have bleed in Photoshop, use Guides to help you better see what area you are working within). Work in CMYK so you have manual control of the color separations (using whatever color profile Vista Print recommends), and make sure you set any small black text as 100K (and overprinting) for optimal text sharpness. Once happy with your design, export a PDF with the settings recommended by Vista Print. Make sure you double-check the quality of the PDF in Acrobat afterwards to ensure there are no problems (objects being partially rasterized, etc.). Then, uh, I know I said "only" Photoshop, but Photoshop cannot do this last bit... You should use Acrobat Pro to correctly define the trim box, and add crop marks. Or place the PDF into InDesign and export a print-ready PDF from there with those settings. Ugh. I feel dirty just writing that. Just... don't output print PDFs from Photoshop... More on reddit.com
