Hello there DnD subreddit. I know that some here have strong oppinions about using AI generated art and content in their games but I am a starting DM with limited resources and AI genersted content would be a real asset for me.

Are there any good AI programs that are good for generating Maps, Art and content?

Hey everyone, I'm Thomas, and as a passion project I've been developing Fantasy Town Generator. It's a free webapp that DMs can use to create detailed, customisable settlement maps - from villages to cities. In addition to the map, it creates the buildings, people, and factions in the city. You can see some examples in this imgur post.

I started this project as, as a DM, I struggled to keep track of the various tools, tables, and notes I was using to handle improvised city content when my players inevitably went off my planned path. Using FTG, everything is now centralised so I can quickly answer questions like: Where's the nearest tavern, Who's there? Where do they live / work? Where's that person from last session?

Here are some other stand out features:

• Powerful customisation options, for example drawing water features, and custom races

• After generation, everything can be edited

• People have schedules, and will move around as you change the time

• Random events to provide interesting encounters in the settlement

Note - you don't need to create an account to use Fantasy Town Generator, however if you want to create a settlement that is permenantly saved in the cloud, an account is needed.

I've been trying to so an isometric world map or even a single continent/country with borders for nations/countries, but have been unsuccessful.

Any help would be appreciated, but I do own Campaign Cartographer but am always overwhelmed when trying to start out.

Are there any city generators I could use to create a list of all the buildings and NPCs in a city/town/village? Generating the map can be optional - I just want to take the list of folks and their shops and put them into an existing city map.

I posted a question like this in one of the D&D subs and I must've worded it poorly - didn't really yield any answers. So I thought I'd try here, too.

Straight forward question. Does anyone know of an application/website to procedurally generate City maps? Up to this point I’ve just been stealing real city maps of actual cities and removing the labels, but it feels kinda cheap.

I recently stumbled across https://www.kassoon.com/dnd/town-generator/ (which is awesome and I recommend it btw), and was wondering if there are any similar sites you all particularly enjoy/use to help running games. Thank you!

I'm looking for something that produces a random map, kind of like what donjon can do.

A lot of resources give you the details of a city, but no map. The things that produce a map don't really give me what I'm looking for.

I'd appreciate the sharing of the knowledge. :)

I'm running a spooky October game and am looking for the best map maker for creating a village. Does anyone have a go to for this or should I just sketch things out myself?
