What do you think about the barrage of AI tools in the investment industry?
For us we are still fundamental investors (so old) so AI has become a better "screen". There have always been issues in data with aggregators and skins, so you still need to go to the source doc. Leases being counted in LTD etc. and AI missing footnotes. For less fundamental investors, I could see AI helping with analyzing legal opinions and M&A agreements much faster.... At that point it will be accuracy v. cost. Is directionally correct enough, if you keep the misses small? It could be if the AI is in budget. AI is great, and I'm sure in 5 years or less it will be able to do amazing things, but for now it is a nice to have, rather than a necessity. More on reddit.com
