Do you think with the rise of reverse image search we can potentially look up our own faces in the future and find random photos where you were caught in the background? Like say just walking in a city or at an event in someone else’s photos. Would be interesting, especially with people who have passed away and to find pictures of them you never knew existed.

r/chrome on Reddit: Alternative to Google Image reverse search?
February 15, 2025 -

For some idiotic reason they got rid of one of their best and most useful features, so does anyone have an alternative for being able to reverse search images to find them in the best possible quality?

I feel like over the past 4 years it's been bad decision over bad decision and it's really starting to piss me off now.

ATM: The alternative I am using is Bing Visual Image Search -- but if anyone knows of any better options I'd love to try it out

Hey everyone,

A while back, I launched Copyseeker – a powerful AI-based reverse image search tool. When it comes to finding exact image matches, I believe it's one of the best engines out there right now.

I'm actively improving Copyseeker and would really appreciate your feedback.
What features or functionality would you like to see added?
Anything that could make it more useful or user-friendly – I'm all ears.

r/chrome on Reddit: is there any reverse image search engine that works?
August 23, 2024 -

at what point all image search engines just stopped working? google lens doesn't even designed for that, just for suggesting things to buy. I found an extention to access old style google image search but it now sucks. it can suggest max 3 sites, if even 1. doesn't even show the site with original image, url of which that I pasted in. bing finds similar photos like lens does. yandex and tineye don't work at all, I tried many different images but got zero results every time. tried a buch of no name engines that I could find, also nothing. is there anything that can do reverse image search? I often need to state source of images that I use and it just turned into hell. all that tecnical progress in last years and for what? to completely screw an important search feachure that was working good for years?

r/ArtificialInteligence on Reddit: Looking for a reverse image search/similar image search AI
February 17, 2024 -

I'm trying to find an AI tool that can do a sort of reverse image search function; not something like Tineye, but like if Google's reverse image tool actually was good. Something that can find more images of a thing, perhaps from multiple angles/other sides of a box. Something that I can stick in images of a building, and it'll find more pictures of that building. Tineye is useful but is for specific sources. Google's search by image either sends me to store pages in the item example (and usually not even the same item) or shows similar, but not the specific building in the other.

I'm hoping an AI tool might be able to better figure out what I need. I have almost no AI knowledge so I'm not sure if this is a thing at all.

r/roastmystartup on Reddit: Roast lenso.ai - AI Reverse image search and face recognition
June 27, 2024 -

Lenso.ai is a platform that allows users to search people, places, duplicates and objects by image.

How is it different than all the other reverse image search websites?

  • Categories: results are spread into categories: places, people, duplicates, related and similar; I know it doesn't sound like much, but it helps a lot when you try to find something specific in an image.

  • Face recognition: we put a lot of focus into making the face recognition work well

  • Accuracy: while our index is not as huge as in some other, similar platforms, we put a lot of work into our alghoritm and you can probably tell by how close the matches get. And the index is growing all the time, we hope to get better and better!

  • Similar images, not only exact copies: something that many engines do is finding only copies. We do that and way more.

  • User-friendly design: A big chunk of competition is not user-friendly at all. We are making a design that will lead more users to lenso.ai

  • Place recognition: Lenso is very accurate with recognising buildings and landscapes, unlike most search engines.

  • Search with text or URL: we allow users to define URL of website they want to look at or add text so the search is more accurate (upload blue mug, add text "red", red mugs appear).

Use cases: Finding the source of images, finding original versions of edited pictures, finding images in higher resolutions, finding your face online, looking up objects and people, checking for copyright infringement, online shopping, finding places from image

Who would want it? We believe it would be useful for photographers (for copyright), public people (to find who posts them and where), general audiences (most people want to find their face online or used google lens to find objects/books/movies).

The market is projected to reach US$13.72bn in 2024 and still growing. Our biggest competitors are Google, Yandex, Bing, but also some smaller sites, like Pimeyes, Copyseeker etc. Some are huge companies, but we believe in the next stages of growth Lenso will be just as good if not better.

We find customers by posting on different forums, databases for AI tools, recommending to people on groups related to reverse image search, writing articles. We also post on social media and plan to post on youtube soon.

We are in the stage where the product is already posted and usable, but we are still developing additional features, such as: email notifications on new results, exporting results to CSV and more. We are not looking to raise money to develop, but we are planning to earn from the project in the future.

Why us? Our team has years of experience in reverse image search and face recognition from working in other projects. There are a few developers working on the project, all experienced and skilled.

We appreciate your feedback :)

r/catfish on Reddit: ALWAYS reverse image search!
June 6, 2025 -

I see so many posts here asking: "Is this person a catfish? How do I tell?"

Reverse image search.

- Google Lens. Yes, Google can find copies of pictures they sent you. Just choose "Exact Matches" from the top bar.

- Free Image Search. There are some crazy accurate free image searches out there. Copyseeker or Yandex can be better than Google.

- Face Search!!! Yes, you can find people by face. Ok, it's usually not free, but trust me - one lenso.ai, Pimeyes or Facecheck.id search, and you can find tens of photos of this person. I've seen results for some facial recognition searches being titled "Romance Scammer" on the image itself.

Some of these images are AI. If you image search and get AI-generated images, the one you uploaded is AI too. Sorry to break it to you.

PSA: The fact that you didn't find them with reverse image search doesn't mean they are not scammers. They can remove these images with DMCA claims. Be careful who you talk to, NEVER send anyone money. If a random woman texted you on reddit, she's probably not real. Keep that in mind.

r/ComputerHardware on Reddit: Best Reverse Image Lookup According to Reddit in 2024?

I'm really frustrated that all the picture search engines have stopped working properly. Google Lens isn't helpful for what I need; it mainly suggests things to buy. I found an add-on that let me use the old Google image search, but now it doesn't work anymore. It only offers a few sites to choose from, and even if I paste the URL, it doesn't show the original source of the picture. Bing produces results similar to Google Lens. Yandex and TinEye aren't working at all—they fail to find anything regardless of the images I use. I've tried various lesser-known search sites, but none of them worked either. Is there any tool out there that can reliably perform reverse image searches? It's become really difficult to credit the sources of the pictures I use. Why has technology advanced so much in recent years only to mess up such a vital search tool that had been working fine for years?

March 19, 2025 -

Hello! I'm looking for a very specific reverse image searching website. It allows you to upload five photos for free, and then from there you select one and it'll pull up results with people similar to the one in the photo. Basically, it doesn't pull up exact photo matches to whatever you upload.

I can't find it anywhere online but I heard about it from a Youtube video by either Chilling Scares, Lazy Masquarde, or Don't Look at Me. I had used it but my search history is set to auto delete after a week so I can't find it. Any help is much appreciated :)

if you have... have you ever found the "source"? or are the ai image actually "new"?

personally i have only tried a few times. the only one ive ever found anything close to an ai created image was one of the oldest images i used ai for, which was an image of a fox on an all white background (i have since lost that picture) - which was an exact match of this picture in the sidebar of r/foxes. didnt even search for it, i just happened to notice it one day. all other images ive tried to "reverse engineer" i have not found anything too similar.

how bout you? is ai actually creating new images, or just copy/pasting?

r/searchengines on Reddit: What's a reverse image search engine that doesn't completely suck? Something like TinEye???
April 18, 2025 -

Almost all the ones I've tried are horrible: Google, Bing, Yandex, and all the ones that show up on page 1 of a web search. The only one I've found good is TinEye. But the huge problem there is it never finds images of decent size. And that is useless for my purposes. I'm simply trying to find album art of higher resolution.

I like everything about TinEye except that major flaw. It displays the images in a nice, orderly way; has accurate results; and clearly displays the image dimensions (a huge factor that most engines don't).

So do you know of any search engines like TinEye, but they can actually find larger images? Thanks a ton!

Part of my job is rooting out fake and scammer profiles on a website. I used to use Google lens, but now I either get results limited because they are people, or because they are showing too much flesh (like a shirt off pic). Is this a privacy thing?
