Technically speaking, there's a prompt limit of 75 tokens and this applies to all Stable Diffusion models at the moment. This is hard to directly convert to words, but the average seems to be around 2 tokens per word, so 30-40 words is the limit, usually. However, some implementations, at least automatic1111, use a trick to support more tokens and a negative prompt as well. However, there's some performance cost to using this trick. I don't know the technical details, but it involves somehow running two or more different prompts at the same time and using both to guide the process. More on reddit.com
