How can I check my AC Warranty? I called 3 Distributors and they told me that I have 10 year (Today is the last Year), but my HVAC guy says its 5 Years only
My AC Stopped cooling out of nowhere suddenly and had an HVAC guy that my neighbor recommended stop by. He changed the Capacitor, but then was like that’s not the issue. Told me that my Compressor is bad/not turning on. Something about me having bad luck and that it is only a 1%-2% chance of happening.
He told me that I have 3 options:
Change the Inside and Outside Unit for $7K-$8K
Change the Outside Unit for $5K-$6K
Change the Compressor and the Freon/Gas for $3K-$4K
He looked at the label on the Unit and told me that he will call them and check to see if it is still under Warranty (House Finished Building Feb 2014 and the Date on the AC Unit is July 2013). He never got back to me about it. A week later I called from the numbers on the site and 3 different places told me that the Unit is still under Warranty and that it covers everything except for Freon/Gas and Labor. I called the HVAC guy and told him what they said and asked him to check. I had to call him 3 days later and ask for an update. He said that when he tried to buy someone said 5 years.
How can I confirm if my Warranty is 5 Years or 10 Years? I am the Original Owner of the House.
He said that its possible that it can automagically start again by itself just like how it died.
Any advice? I attached a picture of my unit label and the serial number
