1 month ago - All hearing aid customizations can be done from Android (linux soon), including setting the audiogram result. The app doesn't provide a way to take a hearing test because it requires much more precision. It is much better to use an already available audiogram result. Due to recent AirPods' firmware upgrades, you must enable Off listening mode to switch to Off.

Simplify use Apple AirPods (Pro, Powerbeats Pro) on Android
How's the experience on Android ?
I have an S22 Ultra and use my Airpods Pro 2 everyday. You lose the features you get with an IPhone but the sound quality and comfort of these headphones makes it worth it IMO. I use an app called MaterialPods to show the battery levels of each headphone and the case. If I ever misplace them and can't find them I go to YT and search for a "Find my headphones sound" video and locate them that way. I've had almost every type of Galaxy Buds and was always satisfied but not completely happy with them, then one day I bought my wife AirPods Pro 2s and tried them for out for a day and was blown away with the difference between the 2 headphones. Completely night and day I'm every aspect More on reddit.com

r/airpods on Reddit: How's the experience on Android ?
January 4, 2024 -
I'm planning on getting the airpods pro 2 (USB C) model with my Samsung Galaxy phone and I was just wondering how the experience with Android is. The reason I'm getting the airpods is due to how comfortable it is, and the quality of the anc and transparency mode that it offers. I really like loose fitting earphones, I used to have the galaxy buds + and it would hurt my ear after wearing it for just 30 mins.
Also, are there any 3rd party apps in the playstore that may mimic the UI and features of the airpods integration in iPhones ?

Honestly, I don't think they're worth the cost premium for an Android user. The extra features that make it worth it for Apple phones mostly can't really be replicated for Android. You'll still be getting a good pair of earphones, but you could also get an Android-friendly pair with similar/better audio quality, noise canceling and transparency mode for about half the price.
