Hall Effect is just the name of the technology being used, basically a magnet. The switches would not work, the pins don't line up. Lekker switches have two pins on either side of the switch. The PCB of the Akko 7th Anniversary doesn't match up to those pins. EDIT: Looking at this website about halfway down, it shows the PCB which lead me to think they wouldn't fit. Scrolling down further, you see all the components shown in an image, and in that image it almost looks like they DO have 2 pins. So now, I have no idea what to tell you. I would maybe send them a message / email and see if they can answer your question directly. Answer from DaddySanctus on reddit.com

What is a Magnetic Switch Keyborad? | Akko Official Global Site
January 3, 2025 - Compared to mechanical switches, the primary advantage of magnetic switches is their rapid trigger capability. They offer ultra-fast response times, allowing users to activate keys again immediately after a press, without needing to wait for the keys to fully reset to their original position. Rapid Trigger removes any delay caused by the physical movement of the switch. Instead of relying on a fixed actuation like conventional mechanical keyboards, it immediately activates and deactivates the key with minimal travel, which is ideal for FPS gaming.

r/akkogear on Reddit: tutorial about how to use the gamepad feature on akko magnetic keyboard (at least for trackmania)
March 16, 2025 -

Hello guys, after a few months I finally figured out how to use the gamepad feature! I'm sure a lot of you will be happy. :)

First step! Customize your keys actuation. I don’t know what to put for red, so I didn’t touch it.

Second! In your second layer (profile), under gamepad mapping, I use this setup. Notice I use Z and X instead of Y. If you use Y for acceleration, it will slightly affect your steering when you accelerate. Z doesn’t mess things up. Make sure you know how to switch between layers (FN plus F9 or F10).

Now you can customize the game curve in Akko Keyboard. Without that, it won’t work properly and will seriously impact your gameplay (think of it like sensitivity).

Then open Trackmania in windowed mode (in a tiny window, because once you toggle the next option, you won’t be able to use your keyboard on any layer and you’ll be soft-locked in the game). Go to settings, then toggle the option "Enable Keyboard Keys" to off. Now the game should recognize your keyboard as a controller.

You can now switch this option back on again.

If the game recognizes your keyboard as a controller, you should see this (not “keyboard” but “Akko Keyboard”). Of course, you can switch back to “keyboard” using the arrows.

Now go to your Layer 2 and you should be able to bind the new keys as analog output. Keep in mind, if it works, you will see a “?” as a key. Do that for all the keys you need.

Now you should be able to use the full potential of this keyboard! I hope this guide will help you. Have a good day, everyone!
