March 10, 2025 - Its primary character is Aladar, a herbivorous Iguanadon raised by lemurs and voiced by D. B. Sweeney. Unfortunately, this carefree dino’s life is promptly interrupted by the Chicxulub meteor.

Set 65 million years ago, this is the story of Aladar, an iguanodon who is separated from his own kind and raised by a clan of lemurs, including the wisecracking Zini and the compassionate Plio.

The DVD also featured clips and galleries of how the dinosaur characters were made, even including creatures barely or never seen in the movie. To promote the release of Dinosaur, the Disney theme park ride "Countdown to Extinction" was renamed "Dinosaur", and its plot, which had always prominently featured a Carnotaurus and an Iguanodon, was mildly altered so that the Iguanodon is specifically meant to be Aladar, the protagonist of the movie, and the plot of the ride is now about a human scientist traveling through time to a point just before the impact of the meteor which caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, to bring Aladar back to the present and save his life.

May 19, 2000 - I mean, I don't understand why lots of people hated this movie. Sure, it isn't a masterpiece due to it's flaws that I will point out in a moment, but before I can get to those flaws, I would like to point out the redeeming qualities. I like the premise: An iguanadon named Aladar and his adopted family of monkeys walk to find a new home after their's was destroyed by a meteorite to find themselves in a conflict by joining the other dinosaurs led by Kron and Neera while being chased by Carnotaurs and velociraptors.

Answer: No, definitely not. Disney’s movie Dinosaur is a classic for a number of reasons, including its score, it’s mix of real backgrounds with CGI characters, it’s terrifying Carnotaurus villains, and many others. But the main thing that makes it appeal to me is the nostalgia.
