Official Discussion - Hamilton (2020) [SPOILERS]
Everyone was great, but George Washington fucking slayed it. His back-and-forths with Hamilton were probably my favorite parts of the whole show.

I’m curious if anyone can share recommendations for films that depict the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton. I’m particularly interested in movies that explore his contributions to American history, his personal struggles, and the dynamic relationships he had with other founding figures. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I recently found out about a 1931 film titled "Alexander Hamilton" about his political career and noticed something that LMM may have drawn from in writing "We Know."
In the 1931 film, when Hamilton is confronted about the payments to James Reynolds, the accuser says "unless", which is immediately followed by an "unless" from Hamilton. This has a striking similarity to the conversation in "We Know" where, when Jefferson, Madison, and Burr confront Hamilton about the payments to James Reynolds and Hamilton says "unless", followed by an immediate "unless" from Jefferson, Madison, and Burr.
For reference, here is the part from the 1931 film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYNDE_qdiIY&t=179s
And here is the part from "We Know" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBj2GL_12R4&t=51s
What do you think? Any chance that this is a reference to the film?
