Alfre Woodard was in Captain America: Civil War as Miriam Sharpe, the mother who met Tony in front of the elevator and blames her son's death on Iron Man and the Avengers. She is also casted as Mariah Dillard in Luke Cage. The latter is a pretty big role I'm assuming as she's a big baddy in Luke's comics and she's listed as a series regular.
I realize that MCU films are by Marvel Studios, which is independent from the rest of Marvel, including Marvel Television who oversees the Netflix series, which are also in the MCU, but in this vast universe Marvel (in general) is creating, they've been really careful not to double cast for obvious continuity reasons. I understand that means that eventually, all of Hollywood might be casted somewhere in the MCU but this seems like quite the misstep. Thoughts?
