After a change to the coin cell battery that fixed my PC for a couple of days, my PC now has 2 beep error codes.
When I start my PC it beeps twice in intervals. From Dell’s website it shows that it means no RAM detected.
I reseated the RAM and even tested them all individually.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Do I need to purchase new RAM? Do I need to buy I new motherboard?
Hopefully neither of these are the issue as I’m preferably looking for a free or cheap fix. I cant afford a repair at the moment. Thanks in advance for any help!

RAM problem? 2 beeps on startup
Did you look up the beep codes for it? If you have try blowing out the memory slots with compressed air. If that doesn't work it might be bad memory. Try one stick at a time.

Don’t worry about it. I had an “LCD Failure” and I reposted with LM and thought it spilled. Turns out I forget to plug one of the cables in the MB
More on reddit.comI recently put my Alienware X51 into sleep mode when I was going to bed. When I woke up, I pressed the enter button to wake the pc up out of sleep mode. When I did this, the led lights came on and the pc started to wake up like normal. But it shortly stopped and turned off. I pressed the power button, and the white power light came on, but nothing else. Now I can't get the pc on. It just beeps twice, then doesn't display anything. and the led lights don't come on. I tried taking out the RAM and putting it back in. But that didn't fix anything. If anyone knows anything that could help me it would be much appreciated.
Anyones....? Any ideas... Taking back apart now...
EDIT: Laptop boots up with AGA. Registers and see's the onboard 1080 in windows but no display off it, only the AGA. Attempting to disable the 1080 in Device Manager caused a crash/reboot.
Edit2: Was the LCD ribbon. Crisis adverted :p

Shows up as PCI/Video Card failure....which is never going to be good.
Make sure everything is connected properly and try pulling the CMOS battery to reset it and try again.
Did you use LM? If you did I hope none spilled....
My sister has an Alienware 17R5 (8750H 1070) and one of the fans on her laptop started making an annoying grinding noise. We opened it, cleaned the fan, and closed it up. Problem is, it now wont POST and it makes 3 beeps, followed by 2, then 1, and repeat.
From what I could find this means a disconnected/faulty LCD. We did disconnect the 40 pin cable so we could disconnect the motherboard, but it dosent seem damaged and we tried resitting it a few times with no success.
Does anyone have an idea would could be wrong? is there another cable I should check that may be the cause of this beep code?
Thanks.
I noticed I had 8gb ram sticks, so I replaced them with 1 2gb stick. With both RAM setups, I got a 2-beep error. Please help!
