Hey guys so I have downloaded all the mods 3 remix, and the game told me that I needed to allocate at least 6144mb. So I changed the amount of ram in twitch. But when I am at the loading screen it shows 800-900mb less. The same when I enter my world, in the chat it says that i need to allocate at least 6144mb or my game may run poorly (and it did) So my question is: is it a bug? (Btw I have 8gb in total) Or is it normal? Right now I have allocated 900mb more then 6144mb. But then I entered the game and I had good fps but it was still freezing every 2-3 seconds. Then I changed some "BetterFps" mode settings. One of them was "prellocated memory" (or something like that) it was off but I switched it on. What does the "prellocated memory" option do? Oh and I also changed beacon from fancy to fast and fog, from fancy to fast. So did/am I doing the right thing? Is it supposed to be like this?
Just in case, my specs are: Gtx 1050 ti 4gb I5-8400 2.8mhz 8gb of ram 60hz monitor
I have been playing and enjoying this pack so far but ran into a memory issue last night. I would call it a memory leak but I am not certain that is the correct terminology. As an important note, I play on a server.
I allocated 8 gigs to the pack in the launcher and noticed a little stuttering last night. A 1-2 second freeze every 15 or so seconds. I opened up the F3 screen and watched my memory usage in the top right corner go from 4-5 gigs to 8 gigs over the course of 15 seconds, a freeze for garbage collection, then the process repeated. Every 15 seconds.
I was in a field, no structures or base around me. I use the default pack mods with the additions of optifine and lag goggles. I was not able to find issues using lag goggles. While I would love a solution to this problem, I'm also curious how to fix these issues on my own in the future. For those who speak fluent minecraft code, how do the rest of us go about solving these problems?
Thanks in advance!
I am currently in the process of upgrading my pc.nI previously had: Core 2 Quad q9500 8gb of ddr3 ram GTX 660 (2 gb of Vram)
I am upgrading it to: Core i5 11500 And 16gb of ddr4 ram The GPU will remain the same
My question is will the Ram and GPU be enough to run packs like ATM 3 remix and E2:E etc or MC Eternal?
Hi,
im trying to find a good and smooth server setup for my new AllTheMods3 Remix Server-Project. It will be played with around ~12 People. Some players tend to push very high in automation and exploring, some just want to build their base with MineColonies. The Server will be hosted on a Root-Server@Debian 9.
Now I could rent a Root with some decent specs..
Intel Xeon X5670 2,93 GHz (3,3GHz Turbo) @ 4 cores 8GB RAM DDR3 60GB SSD 100 Mbit/s up/down
Our last server went fine with that (FTB Infinity Evolved) at ~8 players.
Is it strong enough or should i upgrade? The processor could get to 3,3GhZ (4GHz Turbo) and RAM could get upgraded up to 16GB. Are there any recommended server specs for this modpack? I didn't find any.
It would be very nice if you could share your experience/opinions with me.
Im looking forward for your answers. :-)

You will be lucky to find hardware that will work well with 12 people BEFORE automation. CPU will always be the biggest bottleneck so you'll want to get one with as much clock speed as possible, doesn't need more than 2 cores though. RAM you'll be looking for 12-16gb. You're also going to have to constantly be checking lag or things will get out of hand quickly.

That xeon does not have the single thread performance required.
My server runs on a 4770 w/ 15-20 people and we still have to meticulously tune our machines and bases to not kill the server.
10GB ram is enough for us.
I've currently got just under 8 GB dedicated, but it still seems to freeze every now and then. I have 12 GB Ram in Total, could that be it? Or is there something else happening?
if it freeze now and then it probably is because you are allocating too much ram, since java is wierd i'll try to explain it, basically there is a little program and when he sees that the main program (minecraft in this case) is using too much ram it deletes some "garbage" , but if there is a lot of "garbage" the processor might spike for a second or so and the game freezes; just try allocating around 5gb, it might solve the problem.
ps. also always remember that the operative system exist so leave some ram to him too (4 gb should be more then enough tho)
8 Gb of Ram should usually be enough. I would just open task Manager and look how much ram the game is using. Also the amount of ram you give the game is just the maximum so theoratically you could just give it the whole 12G and as long as no memory leaks happen you should be fine.
Is there a good resource pack for this mod pack?
I used to use faithful 64 x 64.
How is it that all the mods 3 can run smoothly at 90-120fps but when I tried to switch over to the remix version it runs at 35-50fps?
How can I fix this problem?
Getting Low FPS and don’t really know why. Maybe to do with my RAM Allocation?
Here are my system specs:
CPU - Intel Core i7 6700 @ 3.4GHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte H110M-S2H-CF
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16 GBytes DDR4
Graphics Card- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Region: US WEST (Bandwidth is sufficient to support plenty of players from the EU [and even Australia])
Version: **CUSTOM PACK BASED ON ATM REMIX (**See discord for details - it is very easy to install in twitch)
ProjectE Version: The Latest
I ran the original Vertoak server for vanilla Minecraft way back in MC 1.2.5 as well as a Hexxit server. People cried when we I decided it was time to move on (The servers were both 75 slot and ran on laptops! I fried the motherboard on 5 - YES 5 - laptops over the course of 3 years). Especially when my router literally melted.
Rules:
-
I have put EMC on things that either should have it or it makes life easier for them to have it. You may request to have EMC put on new items, but it will be on my discretion as a hardened modded-MC player.
-
There are no banned items, no restrictions, etc. (Except for hacking - there is NO need to hack and I will not only ban you, I will get your IP, MAC address, username, and soul blacklisted from MC servers!)
-
You can use the FTB utilities to claim/chunk-load areas.
-
There are no protections except for what you build. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife! Or you could be grieved. IF you wanna get real I recommend Thaumcraft Warding Staff.
-
If you got something deleted and I am on? You'll get it back. I am not online? That sucks...
-
Do I give hand-outs/boosts/free stuff? NO
-
Do I help new-to-mods players learn the ropes? HECK YES
-
Do I team up with someone I just met? I sure do!
-
Do I want to form an entire village with each house a different mod setup? YES
-
Do I want my village to engage in all out Battlefront with Mages style combat with your village? Maybe once I have my Force-field generator online.
That being said, play nice. If you're a jerk you'll be gone. But if you declare war on the server owner? Now that's a fair fight!
