My wife and I are getting back into modded MC with a new ATM playthrough. We last played ATM1 when it was first released. So it's been a while. We just started an ATM3 world a couple days ago....made lots of derpy mistakes as we haven't played modded in a long time. But I just noticed ATM3:Remix is out and will be the focus of the developers.
So, I'm curious, should we start a new world with ATM3:Remix? Is there any real benefit in doing so?

I bet this is being asked all the time, but what modpack should i play. I want to do a playthrough of a 1.12.2 modpack with some of my friends, but i just cant decide, it is either MC Eternal or All the mods 3 - remix. Mc eternal have a fantastic questing system, shop and i like the twist, but all the mods has i few mods more we maybe will play.
Hope you can help with my third world problem

Mc eternal was a better overall group experience in my opinion.

All the mods has a bit of gating actually which I didn't realise so I stopped playing since I wanted a change of pace from E2E. Garden cloches are complicated, digital miner requires a bunch of other miners from other mods, etc. I'm doing MC Eternal now and I just dropped blood magic in cause I want to play with it.

From what I remember remix was the newer pack, made because they had such a big update for regular ATM3 that they made it its own pack. I'd go with remix personally, but it was a while ago that I played it and can't remember the actual differences.

So I am completely new to all the mods but I watch the yogscast play all the mods 3 remix and I loved it and wanted to try. But I find myself super lost and not knowing where to start or how to start. So if anyone could help that would be great?

If you are looking for an end goal, try and make an ATM star, it requires you to pretty much make some progress in the bigger mods in the pack. Edit: formatting (am on mobile)

Here’s what I’m doing currently, got bored with ATM3 and went to remix. Made all the ender io simple machines. Alloy smelter, sag mill, furnace, etc. made a magmatic dynamo and upgraded that to signalum and gave it all efficiency upgrades. Should hold you into refined storage/AE2. Made a tinkers forge. Ender IO armor/weapons with the upgrade system get pretty overpowered pretty easily so that’s a good thing to try for. Ring of the flying squid is good but I think the dark armor also allows for flight? Not sure.
