First off, sorry for all the posts. It's difficult finding useful information on many of these mods.
So, i'm trying to get the resourceful bees going (mainly so that when i have enough allthemondium, unobtainium, vibranium, etc, i can just make a bee for it) but am having issues trying to figure how to get started. i got basic minecraft bees, and i have a tier 1 hive, have collected normal honeycomb from it, and crafted the book, but it doesnt help much with the bee's themselves. I've checked JEI, but still confused.
Can anyone lend some tips on getting started with this? the only bee's i've found are regular non-modded minecraft ones. Do i just need to jet pack around and search for them? Thanks for any tips
Modded beehives should spawn in biomes where modded bees spawn. The hives come in a variety of styles, so you just have to keep your eyes open for them. Jet-packing around is a good idea, just make sure you give your world time to load them in before you zoom off to another chunk. They also spawn in the Nether (not sure about the End). I've been able to spawn or breed just about every bee available. Still can't find guardian bees though. It just takes some time and resources. With that said, if you still cannot find any bees or hives, it might be a problem with your download files. I think you'd have to check the script/config files to see if something went wrong.
If you are trying to get oodles of resources, I'd suggest working your way up to the tier 3 or 4 apiary. It takes A LOT of time and resources, but I think it's worth it in the end, especially for the harder to get resources like unobtainium or vibranium. One thing I found is that there is not a lot of documentation about resourceful bees online, so you'll have to look at the JEI information for what it takes to breed bees and what "flowers" they need to make honeycomb. In some cases, flowers are not actually flowers but full resource blocks. For example, coal bees need a full access to a coal block placed on the ground.
Also, look into ChosenArchitect's auto honeycomb processing to make that whole process way easier (I think it's episode 11 of his atm6 playlist).
Yes, you definitely need to find modded bees to get started. I’m not sure how this works if your world is not Biomes O’Plenty, but you should find quite a lot of bees around, so if you haven’t seen any that’s a bit weird. Maybe try checking the oceans, as those have random bee hives with modded bees, to check you’re actually getting them in the world.
I spent quite some time getting all the basic bees found in the world in order to be able to breed them into the different variants. Once you get that there shouldn’t be anything major stopping you.
Hi! ATM9 qustion.
Trying to get the Gregtech Apiary to work. Following the JEI recipe for Draconic bee.
I have 1 dragon egg, 1 bee cage with a draconic bee with the following stats: Very high, rain, metaturnal, medium, aggressive.
Hovering the Apiary machine block, is says the bee requires a very high, any, metaturnal trait which i have.
Lastly i have 4 omega upgrades. I set my machine to program 1, but nothing happends. It has power and the multiblock is complete and "idle"
Any tips?
On this version of ATM (10) i'm challenging myself into an only bees base, trying to focus solely on bees, whenever i can choose. So i would like to see your apiaries to inspire myself. On previous versions i always relied on Mystical Agriculture and Mekanism for all my foundations, and always focused the minimum on bees. So far i understand the concept of how to work it and maximize it, but they whole "Base" design is quite far from my confort zone.
So share with me your apiaries, i would like to see your bees setups!
Getting deeper into resourceful bees & am trying to craft my 1st tier 1 apiary, but it will not craft for some reason. If anyone has any idea as to why that is please let me know
Im trying out using the resourceful bees mod but some bees don't seem to be producing anything at all? I haven't found any requirements for them or anything like that. The only thing I can guess is that the modpack disabled some bees to balance but I'm not sure about this. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I think some of the hives need a block of what they're producing beneath them
As as person who spent hours and hours with the bees i know it's sometimes tricky and depends on many conditions. one of the important is climate, bees need to have exact or very similar climate to they should be. So if bee requires warmer or hot climate so you have to put some upgrades into industrial apiary or alveary to simulate this.
