can you tell me what are all the dimensions in the all the mods 7
Hi, i have been playing ATM 7 with two of my friends total of 3 players. we have done alot in our world, but server keeps lagging now. i have increased the minimum ram and maximum ram, but still lagging.
anyway i have a seperated PC, i made it as a server for ATM7 only. So, it have all the CPU priority, and ram. it got 48gb of memory ram.
THE QUESTION IS, HOW MUCH MEMORY RAM IS RECOMMENDED TO PREVENT LAG.
AND WHAT CONFIG SETTINGS CAN I MADE TO PREVENT THIS LAG.
THANKS
Lag isn't just from memory allocation. Allocating 48G of memory to begin sounds very negligent unless you actually set your GC up for 48G of memory. I've never allocated more than 12GB to a modpack with the proper arguments and have never had any issues with 6 of us playing. You want more new gen collection happening than old gen. With 48G memory your GC ticks are going to have very long delays.
What is your CPU? What's your network speeds? You can throw all the memory you want it but it's not going to fix a poor CPU. What's your wait on next tick %?
On the internet, you will see a lot of advice about "if you allocate too much memory, the garbage collector will let all the memory fill up, then create a massive 'gc pause' lag spike as it clears out all the memory!". This used to be true in the Java 8 days using the "Parallel" or "ConcurrentMarkSweep" collectors, which were prone to doing that unless you used a massive wall of Java arguments. But for years now, the default garbage collector is G1, which optimizes for minimal pause times right out of the box. G1 is a very smart collector and it will likely do what you want without having to think about it too much.
Aikar's flags look good but I would be skeptical about those "here, paste these 5 million java arguments" lists.
That said, there is an important JVM memory optimization called "compressed oops" that is only possible to leverage if you allocate less than 32gb of memory. If you allocate more than 32gb, every single object on the Java heap becomes much larger, so you will consume memory faster than if you allocate less. Never allocate more than 32gb of RAM to Java (unless you are allocating way more than 32gb, like 100gb)
Also, set the minimum RAM and maximum RAM to the same value. If there's wiggle room, the JVM is allowed to release memory it's not using at the moment back to the computer, and then it will have to waste time reclaiming it again when it needs more memory.
tl;dr 16gb

Hi there,
Was wondering how I could easily find out what dimensions are in All the mods 8?
Any new ones since All the mods 7?
Does this mod always take up so much storage GB? Cause I haven’t even done any factories or storage systems and its already consuming 18GB on my computer, and I only have done exploring the overworld,
I like to play it on my pc and I’m not sure if I have enough space free. Can someone help?
does anyone know if all the modium still spawns in the mining dimension?
