Very sad to learn (the hard way) that ALLY's customer service has gone off-shore to India or some such place. When I asked to speak to someone state-side, the CS guy put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back and in a deeper voice said his name was --- and how could he help me? Please connect me to state-side CS like I asked you the first time, SIR! Unrelated, but I have been having trouble with Ally these last few months. It's time for me to move on. Any suggestions as to a bank that has state-side CS? Is a credit union the only solution? TY (Sorry for the rant)
I need to send Ally Lending an email.
They apperently don't have the account information in the system yet for me to do a log in.
Does anyone have a customer support email I can send to?
It needs to be an email due to paper trail. If there isn't one ill just send a certified letter.
Thank you.
I've been a long time customer of Ally, and I remember during my early days, the phone wait time averaged 2-3 minutes. 10 minutes during their peak time.
Logged onto Ally recently in a long time and noticed this. Is this the new norm? I'm glancing at this subreddit and seems like the sentiment is that Ally is going downhill -- Is that true? If so, any recommendations for alternatives?
I've had an Ally account for almost 8 years, when I initially opened it I never had to deal with customer service but always heard great things in general about them.
In the past year, I've had to call in and have been really unimpressed. This morning, I called in about issues with Zelle and had a question about Joint Accounts. While the customer service rep helped me out with both questions/issues she was extremely short in her responses and quite rude. This and another incident in the past year don't give me a lot of confidence in Ally.
Has Ally's customer service gone downhill, or have I just had a few unfortunate experiences with them?
