I'm currently living overseas now and my US phone number is ported to Google Voice. I can't call their international call center(1-757-247-2559) as I think that number is reserved for US numbers and I only have a foreign phone plan in the country I am at right now.
I cant access my account from both phone and laptop(both previously used to access btw). anyone know how to contact ally?

I've been a long time customer of Ally, and I remember during my early days, the phone wait time averaged 2-3 minutes. 10 minutes during their peak time.
Logged onto Ally recently in a long time and noticed this. Is this the new norm? I'm glancing at this subreddit and seems like the sentiment is that Ally is going downhill -- Is that true? If so, any recommendations for alternatives?
Last night I applied for an Ally HYSA. This morning I received the following text:
“Please call the Ally Bank New Accounts Dept. to confirm your application 855-290-2559 ext. 3894. We're here 8am-7pm ET.”
Is that number actually Ally?? I googled it and am getting mixed results. Any reason they wouldn’t just accept my application? Seems like an odd process for account opening, which is also why I’m suspicious
Very sad to learn (the hard way) that ALLY's customer service has gone off-shore to India or some such place. When I asked to speak to someone state-side, the CS guy put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back and in a deeper voice said his name was --- and how could he help me? Please connect me to state-side CS like I asked you the first time, SIR! Unrelated, but I have been having trouble with Ally these last few months. It's time for me to move on. Any suggestions as to a bank that has state-side CS? Is a credit union the only solution? TY (Sorry for the rant)
