By god yes. Metal > plastic any day. I have a Duck Octagon and literally nothing compares quality wise. It's basically a massive chunk of metal and it's great. Get one that's nice and thick and when you touch it in the morning it'll be nice and cold. I love that feeling. I'm also trying to maybe get a metal case for my FC660C because I want plastic out of my life.

Will I be able to build this ?
If you have basic soldering skills, you should be fine. A detailed build manual is included. Hot swap pcbs are planned for 2024 but for now, all pcbs available in this shop are solder only. You can still get around soldering though. Third parties offer a variety of compatible hot swap pcbs for 40%, 60%, 65% and 80%.

What is this ?
This is a kit that includes some basic parts to build a mechanical keyboard. This kit does not include all the necessary parts to build a complete keyboard. At minimum you can order just the enclosure. Then you would have to get your own custom switch plate made and get a compatible pcb and preferably also plate foam elsewhere. Mounting hardware and instructions are always included. The most you can order here is a kit containing the enclosure, plate, foam and pcb. To complete the build you will still need to get cherry mx style switches, stabilizers and keycaps from a third party.

I use an aluminum case to protect myself and the ones around me. Some people don't think I need such a heavy keyboard. But I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
