Here, I have created a list of AMD Ryzen AM4 CPU's and collated their single, multithreaded Passmark performance including integrated graphic performance for their respective iGPUs.
A common thread on Reddit is the discussion of the confusing differences between the Radeon Vega 3, Vega 6, Vega 7, Vega 8, Vega 10, and Vega 11 GPUs among the AMD AM4 processors and how the core configuration and clock speed of the iGPU can have an impact of the graphical performance of the AMD chips.
There have been general discussions about whether the AMD Ryzen 5 3400g, with its Radeon Vega 11 Graphics, outperforms the newer 4000 series AMD processors in games (Radeon Vega 6 and Vega 7 integrated Graphics). And questions like, "Is the Vega 7 better than Vega 11 and various upgrade paths ?"
Unfortunately, that is only half the story as CPU performance (no of cores, architecture, RAM speed, cache and clock speed, etc) will also have a significant impact on the final PassMark score.
But, I hope the chart below will provide a little less confusion and hopefully provide some additional guidance for anyone wanting to build a light gaming machine using AMD Ryzen AM4 CPUs.

Here is another AMD CPU iGPU List which shows the GPU speed in these chips, adding to the graphical performance. This should be kept in mind when comparing the GPU model (Vega GFX) and the GPU core config in the above chart including the Process nm and stepping which will improve performance and power consumption.

What is the fastest AM4 socket CPU?
What is the best AM4 CPU possible?
Which AM4 CPU is best for gaming?
I actually have a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and I would like to upgrade my computer. My computer is mainly used for gaming on ETS2 ATS and Factorio. What would be the best CPU to replace my 3700X?
My PC will be four years old this year, and I haven’t changed out the thermal paste yet. There’s only a Ryzen 5 3600 in it right now, but if I’m gonna change out thermal paste, I wanna get an upgrade as well.
I’m not looking for an integrated graphics CPU, I’m already sitting pretty with a 3060, and I’m not trying to do 4K gaming. My budget is between 300 and $400. Any advice would be much appreciated, even if you’re just gonna tell me my current CPU is fine
Wanted to upgrade to am5 but with ram prices how they are, and my cpu being the main bottleneck i wanted to figure out what the absolute best amd am4 cpu is so i can just replace my old 5600x with something more powerful.
Hi guys, what's the best AM4 CPU?
I'm looking for something to max out my rig.
Hello! I'm in the process of organizing what I need for an upgrade to my hardware. Here are my current specs:
Mobo: ASUS Crosshair VI CPU: Ryzen 1800x GPU: 1080ti Memory: 32gb ddr4
Essentially I really don't want to buy a new mobo and upgrade socket and have to switch to ddr5. I'd like to squeeze a little more out of my socket as I don't play many high demand games, but I do play a few and would like better performance.
My plan was originally to get a 5700x3D but it seems all of those newer cpus aren't available any longer. So what is a good alternative to that cpu that would be good?
I want to get a 5080 as far as a new GPU goes. And as for games, its mostly been things like Darktide, DRG, Conan Exiles, Division 2.
Thanks!
Edit: just wanted to add since it was mentioned, but I am gaming at 4k
I’m a film student and an avid gamer but have recently noticed my cpu bottlenecking in both my video editing (divinci resolve) and gaming (badulrs gate 3, helldivers 2) I currently have a ryzen 5 2600 and definitely need an upgrade but don’t have the money to do a full am5 upgrade.
