I just got accepted to the Amazon Affiliate program and I'm excited to get started!
I am based in Canada so I signed up with Amazon.ca, but I also know that most of my traffic comes from the US so I also signed up for Amazon.com. It shows that the IDs are linked in my account settings and it says that it will consolidate my earnings.
But how does this work when it comes to posting links? Do I have to post separate links for Canada and the US, or if a Canadian clicks a US link and gets redirected will I still get the commission?
Also how do payments work? If it's all getting consolidated will it just pay to my Canadian bank account, or do I have to do something special/different for any US commissions?
Sorry for all of the questions; I am a total newbie when it comes to affiliate marketing! :)

Use Amazon OneLink. Since your accounts are linked, OneLink will redirect users to their local Amazon store and credit you with the commission accordingly

Amazon One Link can auto direct your clocks to the correct store. Also look into Genius Link. It can help make sure that people who click your links get to the correct country’s store. You only need to sign up once and you can get commissions for any country.

To use Amazon affiliates from different countries, you can register for the Amazon Associates program in each country where the program is available. For example, you can register for Amazon Associates in the US, Canada, and other countries separately. When you register for the program in a specific country, you will get a unique affiliate ID for that country. You can then use that affiliate ID to create affiliate links for products available on that country's Amazon website. If you have an Amazon Associates registration in the US and a Canadian clicks on the link and goes to amazon.ca, you will not automatically get a commission for that sale.
