I just got accepted to the Amazon Affiliate program and I'm excited to get started!
I am based in Canada so I signed up with Amazon.ca, but I also know that most of my traffic comes from the US so I also signed up for Amazon.com. It shows that the IDs are linked in my account settings and it says that it will consolidate my earnings.
But how does this work when it comes to posting links? Do I have to post separate links for Canada and the US, or if a Canadian clicks a US link and gets redirected will I still get the commission?
Also how do payments work? If it's all getting consolidated will it just pay to my Canadian bank account, or do I have to do something special/different for any US commissions?
Sorry for all of the questions; I am a total newbie when it comes to affiliate marketing! :)
I'm based in Canada, 90% of my blog's viewers are from the US. When applying for Amazon Associates program, should I apply for the US or the Canadian option?

I’m new to this marketing thing and I recently signed up as an Amazon affiliate on the Canadian Amazon website, there is also a U.S Tax paper I have to complete.
My question is do I need to complete it if I’m not going to linking from Amazon.Com? It’s in the related to income section: if all services will be performed in the U.S or outside if the U.S or partially in and out of US- which one would I select…
Then there is also the IRS Form I have to complete and consent to.
Please help
How to use Amazon affiliates from different countries? Do I have to register separately in each country or is one registration enough?

If I have an Amazon registration in the US and a Canadian clicks on the link and goes to amazon.ca. Will I get a bonus for doing so? How does it all work?
I got my affiliate links recently. I live in Ontario.
I would be earning a commission if anyone buys a product using the links provided.
I heard there's no need to do it if you make less than 30k in commissions but I'm sorta confused.
It's also saying something about having to register a business number. I don't think I'm an actual business, just an associate.
Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.
Is there anyone who signed up for the Amazon affiliate program, how is it?
I’m new to affiliate programming, how did you get accepted when you started from scratch?
Any advice?
I have applied and been accepted to the Amazon Affiliate program a few times over the last 5+ years. Each time I fail to get sales to keep the account open. I believe originally it was 90 days and now it is 180 days. I have read a lot online and every article I seem to find points to either "building a social media presence" to drive traffic or to create a review/blog type website to drive traffic to the links. I do have an Instagram account for a certain niche that has 18.1k followers but I get very little engagement when links are posted. I have also been part of the Merch by Amazon program for ~5.5 years and make around 150 organic sales a month.
My question is how did you become successful with Amazon Affiliate links? Should I build a site using something like WordPress and then build review articles or guides to drive traffic?
The past few weeks I have watched countless videos and read many articles. No real concrete guidance so I'm asking here. I'm not looking for a step by step guide or your "secret sauce" on how to do it. Just wondering, for those that have generated sizeable income, what avenue did you take? Was it difficult?
Hello all, I'm interested in starting a website, YT channel, IG, and TikTok account in hopes of being able to accepted into the Amazon Associates Program. I would like to review products and shows/movies I buy on Amazon, and have already purchased on Amazon.
I have built a few successful websites/YT channels in the past in the Finance and Tech spaces. I love watching review videos, and figure I'd like to give this a shot. I don't want to be yet another AI-generated review channel. This will be a real person providing honest reviews. I'm not here to cut corners or make a quick buck.
I have a domain name picked out that I think it super catchy, and would transition well to social media accounts.
One major question I have is, how much of a 'following' do I need to show in order to be accepted? Reading through their docs, I am unable to find a number. Ideally I could start reviewing products, and provide an affiliate link from day one of publishing new content.
One issue I have is my other half used to get free things from sellers in exchange for an 'honest' review - Not an automatic 5 star review, but a legitimate review. Because of that, Amazon has banned my account from submitting new reviews. I have emailed Amazon about reconsidering this, but haven't heard back in over two weeks, I guess the answer is No. Should I go ahead and make a new account, and start purchasing everything via that account? Or can this wait until I actually have a following? Do I even need to purchase items from the account that will be the affiliate?
I was wondering if anyone could provide insight, or good resources they have used in the past, on the process to being accepted into the Amazon Associates Program. I feel as though finding good YT channels on this topic is hard as many are just trying to get clicks, provide misleading or false information, or are just trying to sell you their eBook.
Looking forward to hearing form you all, and thank you in advance!
I heard you don’t get much commission from Amazon, and that reaching out to companies in your niche is better, is this true?
Wondering if there's anyone who's declaring their amazon affiliate income and how.
So far, using simpletax.ca, I'm just adding it under "other income".
Ello' folks. So, I started last week with the affiliates program, and I have 7 clicks on my links. I advertise through Pinterest, and use Canvas to promote the products. My niche is in technological products, which revolve around computer accessories such as mouse and keyboard. I've also branched out to home appliances, which still falls under technology, but is getting more views.
Like I try to post 2 pins a day, 5-7 on Sat and Sun. I also use DeepAI to write out some of my descriptions, and use hashtags to promote the products as well. What can I do to improve my overall presence in the market and get more commissions? I don't have a website yet, I do plan to soon. Although, that'd be mainly a re-hash of the products I'm promoting from Amazon, in a free, Wix.com cheap style format, but it's honest work.
Hello guys, of late I've been exploring ways of making some extra cash online, I came across Amazon Affiliate Marketing and I figured out since I'm a regular Amazon buyer, I might as well use that my personal purchases as a starting point to test it out,, I just need to know if anybody here has tried it, what results it yielded and if it's a good passive income stream
I don’t monetise my channel other than AdSense, don’t do sponsors (although I do get offers relatively often) etc. but in my comments on TikTok and YT people often ask me for product recommendations (usually books to read further on the subject) and I will usually reply with an Amazon link unless it’s something you need to go to a specific website for. I’m not a member of the affiliate program, I just think Amazon is probably the most accessible for most people. I’ve googled it and seen a lot of conflicting information on whether it’s worth it or not.
So are you an Amazon affiliate? Do you actually make money from it? Is it worth signing up for?
Hey everyone!
Since so many people are curious about starting their own online side hustle, I thought I’d give back to the community by sharing a step-by-step guide that worked for me. Whether you're just starting or looking for a new method to monetise your efforts, this might be exactly what you need!
Here’s the guide:
Step 1: Join the Amazon Associates Programme
Visit Amazon Associates and sign up for a free account.
Once approved, you’ll gain access to affiliate links for millions of Amazon products.
Step 2: Choose a Profitable Niche
Not all products pay the same commission rate. Focus on niches with higher payouts to maximise your earnings. Here are a few examples:
Luxury Beauty: ~10% commission
Amazon Games: ~20% commission
Electronics: ~4% commission
💡 Tip: Focus on niches like luxury beauty that offer high commissions and appeal to Pinterest users.
Step 3: Research a Product to Promote
Go to Amazon and search for products within your chosen niche (e.g., “luxury watches” or “men’s bracelets”).
Use filters for high ratings and positive reviews to find attractive, popular products.
Step 4: Get Your Affiliate Link
Once you’ve chosen a product, click on the “Get Link” button in Amazon Associates to generate your unique affiliate link.
Your link tracks user activity for 24 hours, ensuring you earn a commission on any purchase they make during that time.
Step 5: Design Engaging Pins on Canva
Use Canva to create visually appealing designs for Pinterest.
Try this:
Search for the Instagram Story template (works great on Pinterest!).
Add product images, bold text (e.g., “Limited Offer!”), and design elements.
Download your final design for uploading to Pinterest.
Step 6: Post Pins on Pinterest with Affiliate Links
Upload your Canva design as a new Pin on Pinterest.
Add a catchy title and description with relevant keywords (e.g., “Elegant Men’s Bracelet – Perfect Gift Idea 🎁”).
Paste your Amazon affiliate link in the description to direct users to the product page.
Step 7: Use Video Content for Better Engagement
Videos tend to perform better than static images on Pinterest. Here’s how to create them:
Order the product yourself, record an unboxing video, and upload it.
Partner with small TikTok creators: Offer the product in exchange for a video, then use that content on Pinterest, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Step 8: Maximise Your Reach
Post your content across multiple platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube to drive more traffic.
Once you’ve confirmed a product is selling well, reinvest your earnings into Pinterest Ads for even greater reach.
Step 9: Analyse and Scale
Use Pinterest analytics and Amazon Associates reports to track the performance of your Pins and affiliate links.
Focus on the most successful products and strategies, then scale by creating similar content or running ads.
Step 10: Stay Consistent
Regularly post new Pins and videos to maintain visibility.
Experiment with different product categories and content styles to find what resonates with your audience.
Final Thoughts: This method works wonders if you stay consistent and experiment with what grabs attention. Pinterest is a goldmine for affiliate marketing, and it’s a lot less competitive than other platforms like Instagram or TikTok.
If you’ve been thinking about starting, this is your sign!

Hi, I have a pretty basic question. I'm building a new website and plan on featuring several Amazon Affiliate links to products that I mention.
I have not signed up to join the Amazon Affiliates program yet, but my understanding is that you have to supply a website URL in the application so Amazon can review your site and proposed affiliate links before approving your application. (assuming that's correct, please let me know if it's not).
My question is: I'm still building my site and it is not live yet. I do have it on a password-protected staging site, however. Is it more common for the process to be that I launch the site with Amazon Affiliate links already populated throughout the site, and hope Amazon approves the site? Or is it more common to provide the reviewer a password to access the staging site, and they'd review and approve the application before the site goes live?
Apologies if I'm missing something basic about the way the program works.
I've been doing AA for a month now, many clicks but no sales yet. Then I just realized AA only pays you if a customer buys your product within 24 hours of posting the link. I was kinda looking for something I could set and forget for weeks, maybe months, and still earn $$$ on my links.
Is AA worth pursuing even though there's only a 24 hour window? Also, I'm very new to affiliate marketing so I don't know if a 24-hour window is the standard.
