I want something cheap that isn't a gaming chair and I will be working on the computer but not gaming. Has anyone tried the Amazon basics chair?
I'm looking for a comfortable, inexpensive office chair for my new apartment because it is in another state and I will try to move back as soon as possible. Amazon Basics has three options:
Padded, Ergonomic, Adjustable, Swivel Office Desk Chair with Armrest, Bonded Leather [$87]
High-Back Bonded Leather Executive Office Computer Desk Chair [$144]
Amazon Basics High-Back Executive, Swivel, Adjustable Office Desk Chair with Casters, Bonded Leather [$157]
I'm thinking of getting #3 because it's high-back and looks plusher than #2, though I can't tell what else is distinctly different between the two. Maybe #2 was released more recently since it has way fewer reviews.
Anyone use one of these Amazon Basics chairs before or know of good alternatives? I only need the chair to last two years as I hopefully will be changing jobs and moving back to my homestate before then.
A lot of the reviews at the top complain about the thin leather layer wearing out, but obviously a real leather chair would cost way more than I'm looking to spend. I'm not looking to keep this chair for a decade, so as long as it doesn't wear down immediately and doesn't fall apart before I can throw it away, I'll be satisfied. On a side note, I used to buy cheap $40 faux leather shoes from Big 5 Sporting Goods. I was happy with them but I noticed my 3rd pair leather finish rubbed off within a few weeks. I then decided to pay the full $150 for real leather shoes and boy are they so much better. No skin to rub off and water-tight. Sorry, personal aside.

Has anyone tried this Amazon Basics Executive chair? It is $240 and seems to have great reviews. I currently have a $120 chair from Staples. It is very uncomfortable after only 2 hours. I now WFH and want something better. Is this Amazon chair a good buy or should I look for a used HM Aeron? I guess I don’t get how the HM is so comfortable without any cushioning. Any help is appreciated.
I am a college student and I have a in person summer internship, so my desk chair at home doesn't get used much or for very long periods (most just for gaming and occasionally getting work done, but I'm never really in it for more than an hour or 2 max)
When I moved for college my mom got rid of a bunch of stuff in my room (including my cheap IKEA hard plastic chair, which I hated but again didn't really matter) but basically I just need literally anything and just need something quick on Amazon. $100 max budget, but I saw some options around the $50 price range which would be a lot more ideal. I understand I'm not going to be getting a good chair for this price, but what's my best option for something that's going to be somewhat comfortable and ideally not fall apart in a few years. (Are the Amazon basics chairs any good? Anything in particular I should look at or avoid, I really don't know what I'm looking at here)
Edit: I know buying a better used chair is the best option, but I have an Amazon gift card and don't really feel like looking for one used
Hello,
Any recommendations for a reasonably priced Office Chair on Amazon preferably around 200.00 and under?
Thanks
I am a fairly petite person (5’3” around ~115lbs) and I work as a psychologist. I sit at my computer around 5-7hrs a day (minimal typing, mostly face to face zoom call style).
By the end of the day my hips are aching as tight, and I feel my lower back rounding (needing some lumbar support I think). I’m also a runner, if that means anything related to how my body functions while sitting for a full work day.
I’ve also sat in either my dining room chair (don’t judge me too harshly) or in a crappy old computer chair. I am ready to actually spend some money since I spend so much of my time sitting. Ideally Amazon because I want to try a chair and be able to return it if it isn’t a great match.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
What is the best $150 office chair with a head support? AmazonBasics Adjustable High-Back Mesh vs. Flash Furniture High Back, or something else?
I definitely need either fold-up arms or adjustable up/down arms--otherwise just looking for solid mesh-back chair with head suppprt that doesn't feel like it is falling apart.
Can you highlight any pros or cons for...
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Adjustable-High-Back-Chair-Flip-up/dp/B07Q44L76B for $156
vs.
https://www.amazon.com/Flash-Furniture-Executive-Adjustable-Certified/dp/B012JJ2EEY for $118
Or suggest a third option that might be better?
EDIT: I went with the Dexley from Quill.com. Arms are adjustable up and down, but not along any other axis--that was acceptable to me. We'll see how it goes. The headrest seems just fine for me--just under 6 feet tall--but if you are 6 feet tall or more, it might not extend up enough for you, so go with something other than Dexley or Hyken.
EDIT 2: I am quite unhappy that the armrests can't be folded back or collapsed more. Looking for a new chair yet again.
Personally I'm not a fan of those mesh back desk chairs. I currently have one similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0147WIC7E/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_Yc7CEb8Z0VRCW
It's not particularly comfortable for long durations of WFH

Really unsure how to pick between these; any advice is appreciated.
in CAD. recommendations? or like what are the trusted brands, there are so many options on amazon but idk if the brands are reputable or anything. going to be working from home soon so need a new comfortable chair. am 5'1 130 lbs.
edit: I know this is reddit but if you're going to answer please don't give me recommendations out of my budget it isn't helpful.
I sit at my desk at least 10 hours a day on average doing work or games, and wanted to get a new chair from amazon since it's prime day. My budget isn't too high, roughly 200.
I would prefer having adjustable or flip up armrests on the chair. Everything else is whatever. I'm 5'7 at 140lbs.
I have my eye on felixking chair on sale. Would this be a good pickup, or are there better? I know this sub likes buying secondhand, but I would strongly prefer not to. thanks!
I just wonder if somebody could help me as I'm getting frustrated. I', looking for a chair around 150-200 Euro and really don't know what to buy. I mean I have no idea what will be the quality of the chair after 6-12 months. I can check review but last time when I bought a chair based on opinion, I ended after a few months with a very uncomfortable seat. So far I found the following and hope somebody has experience with any of these chairs and could advise:

After hours of research, I can't really find anything about above. Perhaps somebody could advise smoething else ii similar price?
Hello!
I'm have a work-from-home job and I also am a competitive PC gamer. I play low sens so my right arm flies left and right across the desk a lot.
For that reason, and the fact that I was born with lower-lumbar scoliosis, I require an office chair with a back that can be upright and one that has lumbar support. I want to avoid at all costs that "leaning forward" thing that I have to do with most chairs just to get my arms up to the desk.
Basically, I want to have a chair that holds my back up straight that I can lean on reliably for several hours.
Mesh is a plus, Function over Fashion. I'm 5'10", 145 lbs.
I also have a huge amount of Amazon credit that I haven't used, so if the chair can be available on that sit, that'd be great.
Personal stories and reviews would be great.
Thanks in advance, everyone!
I bought one from there a bit ago and it wasn't that comfortable
Hey all, Ahnestly here! I review chairs on YouTube and after collecting comments from my community mixed w/ my own personal opinion, I create an annual ultimate chair buying guide video for every budget and height (currently has a 99.3% like ratio, which is insane!). The mods have allowed me to link the video below, but it is NOT mandatory to watch. I'll list out the chairs first and link will be at the bottom for anyone who cares to watch that.
Preliminary notes: People wonder why companies don't make chairs for really short or really tall people. I wish I could show you guys my video's analytics...the vast majority of time watched occurs in the average height section. These companies are out here to make a profit, and sometimes that means targeting the majority, not the minority. Please keep that in mind as you will see a lot of overlap with these chairs.
UNDER 5'3 (160cm)
- if you're a vanilla sitter (standard sitting), get a footrest.

I'm looking for an office chair up to $300 and have been searching and reading tons of posts on the sub about the best one under $300, and there's a few that keep coming up, but they all have bad reviews on Amazon, while ones with good reviews on Amazon get no mentions.
The main and most famous example is the Ticova. It has on Amazon right now 2838 reviews with a 4.0 rating, which isn't good, while a "chinese" chair like the GABRYLLY (https://www.amazon.com/Gabrylly-Ergonomic-Mesh-Office-Chair/dp/B07Y8BXBX8) has 12,115 reviews with a 4.5 rating, which is much better.
Am I missing something or should I just buy the GABRYLLY based on good reviews?
I switch between 2 setups, one at my house, and one at my parents house. I work between two jobs so I have to stay at my house during the weekdays and live at my parents place for the weekends so I can get my job done during the weekends.
My current office chair is a Ergonomic Chair with memory foam which is like a $800 chair, this chair is at my parents place. ATM Im using a dining chair for my chair at my place until I can find a good decent chair that I can use at my parents place so I can take the nicer ergonomic chair to my place.
Are there any good office chairs that wouldn't be bad for a few days of use at a time? I really want something I can use that would be good for long hours at a time.

Kinda sucks having to start over again, but oh well. It is what it is.
EDIT : To clarify, I only make about $800/mo, Now that I got a house, about $600 of it goes towards rent. So I only have about $200 after I pay off my rent. I wanna upgrade my desk this month and get a nice cheap chair so I can switch my better chair to the new place.
edit 2 : thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I went up to ikea and staples and winded up finding a really nice $60 one available at ikea that I really enjoy. Plus doesn't hurt my back at all.
