Is Amazon's Business Prime Duo worth it?
Anyone use Amazon Prime business
Amazon Prime = $99, Amazon Prime Business = $499... Why?
The confusion in this thread amazes me - Amazon Business is not intended for one-man or very small businesses (like I assume OP is talking about). It's for mid-size companies who want to empower their workforce to order their own parts, supplies, office gear, etc. It has approval workflows so managers can sign off on big purchases, reports & alerts for tracking spending, the ability to set up payment methods for an entire group (so employees don't need a "corporate card" to make orders), etc.
No business with 50+ employees is just going to say "go ahead and create your own second Amazon account and here's the card to put on file" just to save $400/yr. Amazon Business is perfect for companies that just want to remove the hassle of letting their employees make small purchases (or even big purchases, which can be shipped LTL to your receiving dock - something you can't do with regular Prime).

So Busines Prime Duo links your Prime account to your business account and, supposedly, gives you bulk purchase discounts along with the advantageous free shipping of your prime account. I have an LLC so isnt this technically piercing the veil between personal and business activity?๐ณAlso, I feel like I'm kinda being bullied into getting the Prime Duo deal since you wont get free shipping otherwise. Does anyone have this deal already and if so what is your experience as a business owner?๐ค This idea seems like a half baked idea by Amazon, should I just create a separate account and just run my business stuff with no free shipping? Any alternatives? Thank you, guys
Do you use it?
Is it worth it?
Just starting my business (about to open the doors), a small counter service restaurant. Setting up supplier accounts etc. right now. Should I buy bulk stuff through supply company or might Amazon Prime business.
Bought random things for the building using my personal Amazon Prime with my business credit card. So they have been advertising it after every purchase.
Thanks
Update: they tried to turn my personal account into a business account (there was an option not to do this) and then charge $179 a year after a 1-year intro price. Other option is $69 a year as a personal prime holder.
So yea, you can link your Amazon Prime to your Business account. So that is an extra step you can take to avoid paying $499 a year for the Business Prime. But why the hell is this even a thing? Why isn't Prime the same regardless if it's a personal or business account? I'm signing up again for Amazon Prime and linking it to my business account, but this seems rather unnecessary. Any thoughts?

Business prime only makes sense if you have multiple purchasers using amazon and/or the business only prices would save you more than the added cost. For business prime, you can have ten purchasers using with account management and prime benefits AND the business only discounts. So itโs a huge cost savings in that exact scenario.
