I’m sure someone has asked this before, but I bought a gift on a shared account that I don’t want other users to see (it’s for a white elephant exchange, so not exactly sensitive but still want to maintain the surprise). Just wanted to know if I could remove some/all the items there if I needed to.
Thanks!
Yes, look at your order history and, for the items you wish to hide, click on a link that says “archive order.“ I don’t see it in the mobile app, but I do see it in the lower left corner of each “Your Orders” listing in a web browser. You can also click to view your browsing history and remove individual items from your history.
This video explains how to remove an item from your "Buy It Again" page on Amazon:

-
go to your recommendations page on your laptop
-
at the top of the page there is a button that says "Improve your recommendations," click it
-
click on the slider of the item you don't want to see on your "buy it again" page
This should remove it from your buy it again list. Doing this and archiving the order in the "orders" page should hide your items quite well.
Using the app or online, I can no longer search my past purchases by keyword or name. My only options are to sort by “recommended”, “purchase date”, or “purchase count”. That’s not helpful at all. I’ve bought thousands of items. All I know is what it’s called. What am I missing? How do I search past purchases by name or keyword? No help in filters as all that shows is category.
Hi, my sister's birthday is coming up in a few days and I ordered her a couple of presents from Amazon. The only problem is we share the Amazon account and using the 'Hide Order' button is absolutely useless because it doesn't hide the recommendations and the present is listed under the "Buy it again" menu when I go to my orders... Not to mention the "hidden orders" is one click away and is easily accessed through the same menu as normal orders.
So my question is does anyone know how to remove the items from my "buy it again" list and stop it influencing recommendations.
I tried contacting Amazon through the live chat but it was my worst experience with their customer support so far. I was told to clear my cache twice even after I had told the rep that I've done that multiple times, and after a few minutes their solution was "don't let her use the account until her birthday".

Not sure how much this will help, but you can go to the drop down Accounts and Lists, then click on "Your Recommendations". From there, click on a category, click on "View All & Manage", click "Edit Recommendations" (toggle switch on right side), and then Remove any items you don't want to show up?
You can also go to your Browsing History and remove items there.
