I've been an Amazon Prime Canada member for ages, probably since soon after they expanded to Canada, and I'm a frequent shopper. Until this week, the majority of my items were delivered the day after ordering. Just now, I went to look for an item, and noticed that the delivery date on everything was Wednesday Feb 19th. (Today is Saturday, Feb 15th) Why? What's happened? Why has delivery gone from next day, to 3 business days? Does anyone in Canada have any insight?
I order a product of the 22 of may. Then, later that day I realized that I wanted a different model of the same product, and could not cancel the first order (already processed). Same seller. First one was shipped with Intelcom and delivered the very next day (23). Second one with Canada Post, was due for yesterday (28), but there has been no scan update since the 23 since it got in Ontario, so I am guessing it's stuck there with thousands of other packages for a few weeks now.
Talking with an amazon agent this morning, he told me he would notify the carrier to deliver my package asap lol, as if this will do anything. All that I want is to replace my order now and asked them to ship it with Intelcom, but apparently they can't choose a carrier? How retarted is that?
Amazon must be well aware that Canada Post have completely lost control right now of their delivery and most of their clients won't get their order on time, especially prime delivery. Intelcom and other seems to be doing absolutely fine. There is no reason for them to be posting with Canada Post right now when they have an alternative.
Can't believe amazon can't choose which carrier they will ship the order through and that they still use Canada Post when it's well known that Ontario is a bottleneck right now and package get stuck there for multiples weeks.
From now on I am canceling any order placed with Canada Post until they get their shit together.

I know that there have been delays because of the roads washing out near PAB and it seems the Marine Atlantic ferries keep getting cancelled due to weather. I’m just curious to know if others are in the same predicament when it comes to getting packages the past few weeks. I’m not sure what is causing Amazon to take their dead time to get items packed up and given to whichever mail service will be delivering them though.
