Air Canada hung up customer service calls

If you have a booking with Expedia, Air Canada agents can't touch it until within 48 hours of departure. If you had to cancel a booking with Expedia, they'll be the ones to issue you a refund, not Air Canada. Warning about sketchy customer service in Canada (rep lied about refunding shipping costs)

To play devil's advocate, you communicated with two different people. The first guy probably thought they would be able to refund you the money but then due to company policy they didn't allow the second guy to do so. I don't think they lied to you on purpose. If you probably escalated the issue they would refund you no problem, as long it's documented that the first guy said they would refund you the shipping.

Best time to reach air canada customer service?

Ticketing counter works if that's an option for you. I've called several times and gotten through in the past couple weeks. I usually call mid morning to late morning (westcoast) on weekdays while working. It has taken 40m to 90m to get somebody on the phone. I'm at peace with this, I just put my phone on speaker and reply to emails. When somebody does answer they are generally super helpful and it's not their fault you had to wait so try and be kind in return. More on reddit.com
