It says "but the business address was closed because of a holiday.
The address points to my house, also there's no Holiday going on that would stop the package from delivering.
What do I do? It's a $30 item, so it's not like they needed a signature.

The carriers do this all the time when they don't feel like delivering something. It's pure laziness and has absolutely nothing to do with whether you were "closed" or not - they just didn't get around to or feel like delivering your stuff. I paid Amazon for a Sunday delivery a few weeks ago. It came via the USPS, and at 5:30 in the evening it magically alerted me that they had tried to deliver the package at 8:37 that morning but "the business was closed." I had been up since 6 that morning working in my office (which is right by the front door). The literally never even attempted to deliver it - they just flagged it as "business closed" and brought it the next day. I made Amazon refund the money I'd paid for the Sunday delivery. This has gotten to be a trend with many of their carriers, sadly.

September 27, 2016Do Amazon really attempt subsequent deliveries?
My packages are always delivered to an Amazon locker and thus I have had multiple deliveries fail, either it's because the driver couldn't find the locker or the locker conveniently goes out of service after I've placed the order. In my experience, every single failed delivery was reattempted the next day and they just keep trying each day. I had 2 deliveries fail today because the locker went out of service but it seems there is no way to change the delivery address so I guess I have to cancel the orders. More on reddit.com
