r/AmazonFC on Reddit: Does Anyone Know If It's Possible To Search Amazon For An Item By FNSKU?
August 17, 2021 -

Hey everyone hope this post isn't out of bounds. I'm a reseller of Amazon clothing and my business relies on being able to find out what products I've just purchased. Searching for products by UPC #'s is very easy, but when I get a product with no UPC# and only a FNSKU it is impossible to quickly find out what item I have in my hands. Does anyone know of a database that contains a link between an items FNSKU and its page on amazon or even the item's name? I'd be willing to pay for this data!

r/amazonprime on Reddit: Free tool to find Amazon products on Walmart, target, direct from manufacturer, etc..
January 9, 2024 -

Like 278345267 others in this subreddit I want to stop buying from Amazon. So I built a tool that finds any Amazon product at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, eBay and the manufacturer itself.

Just punch in the Amazon link and you’ll see all these different options. It's a tool that's free forever, no ads, no login - just search away. Website is https://searchbetter.xyz. Here's an example.

Things I’m thinking of adding next: 1) adding more retailers (Costco? Kohl's?) 2) linking directly to the manufacturer’s product instead of their homepage, 3) sort by prices. I don’t know what else would be helpful, so let me know what you all want, and I can try to build it in.

If anyone wants to pitch in and help, my DMs are open. Or join r/SearchBetter and share ideas.

Moreover, don't hesitate to explore additional filters such as product condition (new, used, refurbished), seller location (domestic, international), and shipping options (Prime eligible, free shipping) to further refine your search results. These filters can help you find the perfect product that not only meets your requirements but also aligns with your preferences and priorities. ‍ · Despite its effectiveness, there can be instances where you encounter issues or difficulties while using the Amazon search bar.

r/amazonprime on Reddit: Filter search to only items SOLD by Amazon--is it possible anymore?
July 30, 2023 -

Has anyone figured out how to search for *only* items sold by Amazon in 2023?

You used to be able to specify the category then select the seller. That no longer works. I would rather not have to sift through pages of complete junk to find something that might last. Every method I find online no longer works anymore in July 2023.

Yes, I made it, because noone else will. It's really basic but it works, however currently it only supports my country's amazon canada. What country do you live in? I will be working on expanding it to all countries including the USA, I've added USA and UK to the list, but it's just an immense amount of time, and I've already gotten requests from as far away as Brazil. (it's a country by country thing) Plus there are so many features and filters to add (it may not look like it but there's several hundred lines of code under the hood), plus they even change their API a lot which complicates things. This is all subject to amazon not blocking me or something. Here you go: https://katrina.life/s/ For legal reasons, you do have to click "sold by amazon" the first time and any time you reset it (or else I'd set it as the default). Once you do, just put what you normally would search for in the main box and hit GO. It will take you to normal amazon, except now amazon filters their whole site by sold by amazon. And if you are lucky enough to know an exact brand (usually single word brands without punctuation work better) the brand (beta) filter can even isolate out results from other brands, all while still sorting from lowest price to highest (by default). The exception being I do not and will not filter sponsored ads (should be self-explanatory). Combine it all together and you can be very precise, searching across categories even if similar items are in multiple spots, where you normally would have to manually apply "sold by amazon" each time within a subcategory, but now wherever you land it should be done for you. Last note: returning to amazon's search box and using that resets it, as does a lot of amazon's site features when the filters wouldn't normally be offered, but it's a step forward for now. At the time of this writing, all of it works flawlessly, but amazon can be annoying, so who knows. I was originally developing the engine to put inside a firefox or chrome extension, and I may still do that at some point, but we'll see. EDIT: for clarity, it searches the whole amazon site, it doesn't change aspects of amazon's site, and this means it cannot be permanent, hence the reset button and staying open in the old tab.
