I want to buy kindle books but I am not sure if I will be able to read them because I use android tablet and not a kindle. Is it possible to use my tablet to read kindle books? I have tried to read samples from kindle app and it worked. And also if I buy the ebook, I will be able to download it to keep it forever?
Hi! :) I was just saying in comments that I have a large Kindle collection (plus some other formats) and my preferred way to read my Kindle books is not a physical Kindle at all but simply the Amazon Fire tablet. I do own a Kindle Scribe as well but I only purchased it for note-taking, I don't care much for reading on it. I prefer some of the advantages of the Amazon Fire tablet for reading: 1) great colour, high resolution... makes it a delight to read any book that has photos or artwork; 2) I can easily have my tablet read a book to me if I don't feel like reading (you can do that too on echo devices); 3) I can easily make purchases from the Kindle app on the tablet; 4) beautiful big screen... I tend to devote the Fire to reading and also sometimes watch movies/shows on it. It's a powerhouse and the cost was not high at all and Amazon also let me buy it on a monthly payment plan to boot. :) I also send a lot of pdf documents to it for easy reference as well and read my one pdf magazine sub on there as well. (I'll drop a few covers and page screenshots here so you can see how nice it looks.) You can of course change the font size and background and lighting, etc. etc. Oh I forgot to mention another reason... 5) You can get special animation features in your Kindle books if you are reading them on a Fire tablet. I will post an example of what I mean in a separate post.
