I made a purchase on amazon with my sofi card much earlier today like maybe 9 hours ago and the purchase isn't showing up on my sofi app transactions, I'm not super concerned but is that normal?
I recently ordered an iPad from amazon, as well as a case for it and a few grocery items. The total came to over $400 but it was two separate orders. I checked my bank account about a day after I’d placed the orders and the money was taken out as expected. A few days later I receive both of my orders, no problem. I checked my account again today and the money for both orders is back in there, except there’s no record of it being put back in, or even of it being taken out in the first place. I have no transactions showing from Amazon at all. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I don’t want to get contacted saying I did something illegal. I’m planning on waiting a couple days to see if anything happens, and then contacting Amazon to inquire about it.
Did they ever end up charging you and how long did it take cause this happened to me. I ordered something on the 8th and received my package on the 11th but still haven't been charged. I wanna be thankful i got it for free but i also dont wanna get hit with some bs saying i tried to cheat them out of orders or some shit lmfaoo
This just happened to me, glad to know I'm not the only one. I know this post is 6 years old, but still. I literally got a notification from my bank saying I was charged, but then I checked my account today and I had more money than I should've? It was cause the transaction was gone lmao. Guess I just have to wait?
Hi r/Amazon! I recently purchased a notebook, it wasn't from Amazon but from a seller on Amazon. I got the confirmation email, and the money came out of my bank account so I assumed everything was normal. I usually use the app, and when I went to the "orders" tab, it wasn't showing up. I then went to my browser and it showed up when I went that route. It was fine for a few days, but now it's not showing up in my browser either! It's like there's no trace of me ordering it on Amazon, just in my email and bank account.
Am I looking in the wrong place or something? Should I contact amazon??
This is a weird problem.
I received an Amazon package at my home, addressed to a person I've never heard of. I checked my Amazon account, and there wasn't an order I did not recognize. I have 2FA on my Amazon account.
I also had a charge on my AmEx around the same time, to Amazon (around $70).
I contacted Amazon, told them that I thought the charge was fraud, asking for details on what was provided. They would not give me any info, and told me to contact my credit card provider if I thought it was fraud.
I contacted AmEx and disputed the charge. They were able to get a copy of the Amazon order, along with proof of delivery to my home. It was for the package I did not recognize. Edit to Add - AmEx closed the dispute with this evidence (ie, sent to my home address).
It seems like someone stole my card, ordered some random stuff on Amazon, and sent it to my house. I can't figure out what the scam is? My credit is always frozen.
I went into Amazon today to try to return the items, but Amazon won't let me because they were not marked as gifts. I started a chat, the helper got confused, and said it has been escalated and I will hear back in 24-48 hours. I still have 2 weeks left in my 30 days, so I am hopeful that they just accept the return.
Very weird.
EDIT: I was able to get a refund to my card from Amazon!
