I'm not sure what you mean by windows app. I watch in the Chrome browsers, and don't have some of these issues. Title appears at the top. Yeah, but not that big a deal. I stay where I've scrolled to when I go back. Anyway, first world problems, right? More on reddit.com

The PC version does not support 4k playback. It's due to DRM. Pirates win. More on reddit.com

Microsoft Store apps are in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. There's no guarantee you will be able to this though because with all these recent changes to Windows 11, being able to do this with the executables of apps installed via Microsoft Store without any problems is hit or miss. You could end up being told you don't have permission to even open the folder. More on reddit.com

There are several features glaringly missing from the Prime windows app. Netflix has always had these and Amazon still hasn't figured it out.
If I'm watching something, I can't see the title without exiting the video. With Netflix, all I have to do is move the mouse to expose the UI, and the name of the video is displayed.
If I'm watching a TV series, I have to go back and search for it and then select a season in order to switch episodes. With Netflix, I can select another episode from the UI while I'm watching a show.
If I'm scrolling through content and click on a title to read the synopsis, the app doesn't remember where I had scrolled to. If I decide I'm not interested, I have to scroll down the page and back through the entire category again. It makes finding something I want to watch infuriating. It doesn't help that I can't read the synopsis just by hovering over the title, it's always cut off, even on my 65" screen.
These are basic features that others got right years ago. How is it that a company as large and wealthy as Amazon can't figure out simple things like this?

Hey everyone,
So Im just confused here. I have Windows 10, updated to latest version and installed the Prime Video App from the Microsoft Store.
I contacted Amazon Support and they told me the Prime Video App for Windows -does- support 4k playback, but, when I launch any UHD video, at the bottom left corner of the screen, it says its just running in 1080p.
Is there a setting or something Im missing? I have the codecs for Windows to playback 4k, Im able to see 4k in Youtube videos, etc.
Any advice or tips or info on this one?
