It you are an Amazon Prime member, and pay for prime, and you do not intend to cancel your prime account any time soon. The Amazon Prime Credit card is an absolute no brainer, it's essentially a no annual fee card that earns 5% back on Amazon.

I didn’t have a credit card for decades. Then I got the Apple Card and a few months later the Prime Rewards. After acquiring my first non-cobranded Chase card I started using the Apple Card for only Apple related purchases where there’s a 3x cash return. Same with the Prime card. It’s 5x on every purchase I make on Amazon. Each is set up as the primary card for their brand and neither sits in my wallet. I think they’re both great cards if used that way. No annual fee and sometimes the Prime gets a small SUB. I like that I can send my daughter or another iPhone user the Apple Cash I earn as cash back. Like Venmo but SO much better. I like that I recently bought $100 worth of stuff from Amazon using only my cash rewards. That’s my experience anyway.

I'm thinking about getting the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card. I plan to just pay off the balance before the due date every month so that I don't get charged interest. But I have a few questions for anyone that recently got one too. It seems like the terms and conditions might have changed recently.
What is this My Chase Plan monthly transaction fee? Is this basically like them charging 1.2% at the end of each billing period on the balance -- so that you can avoid the fee altogether by paying off your balance each month? Or is this 1.2% charged after each purchase and added to the balance?
If you pay the balance each month, do you still get the 5% cash back? Or do you only get 5% of the balance each month so that you get no points if your balance is always $0 at the end of the billing cycle?
Thanks for anyone's help. I'm not an expert on credit cards.

No fee (other than possibly the Prime membership). "My Chase Plan" appears to be a way to split up larger purchases into separate monthly payments and not count it as interest: https://www.chase.com/personal/credit-cards/mychaseplan-hub Rewards should be based on purchases, not statement balances. It is perfectly fine to let statement balances report a non-$0 amount, it does not mean you'll pay interest (just be sure to pay the statement balance before the cutoff time of the due date).

There is no Annual Fee on the card, The My Chase Plan Monthly Transaction Fee is only there if you decide to pay for something in monthly installments they don't charge intrest on this plan but like you said a small fee is charged every month, so don't do installments and you will avoid this fee all together, there should be no fees only intrest if you don't pay it off before the next cycle ends not the current cycle that you are in. You still get the 5% even if you pay it soon as it posts or pay it little by little. But you won't see it on your account until your next bill comes in. Amazon is moving to another bank to provide credit card services, so expect the My Chase Plan to dissappear with it.
