Experiencing the ultimate Fustration with Amazon Prime Visa a 1-888-247-4080 Go absolutely no where just a giant automated loop no customer support. Here’s my situation. I had this card for a year I never had any troubles and in good standing with paying on time,until now. Here it is Christmas time. Trying to order a new Mattress off Amazon. payment decline. Okay I updated the card the billing address on Amazon website. Still declined called Amazon they say you have to call the bank the problem is no one to talk to. The bank menu option update billing information. I am so cancelling there card outrageous! Frustrating

I'm having an issue where I can't get ahold of customer service. I got approved for an Amazon visa and it was supposed to be coming in the mail, however I had just got a new apartment and I didn't know there was a slip in the mailbox saying it was still vacant. Now my credit karma says the acounts closed but chase says it isn't on their automated phone thing, now I can't make an account on chase.com and I can't get connected to customer service because I don't have my card information and on top of all of that I have a Balance of 6 dollars that I have no way of paying. Does anyone know what to do I am about to lose my mind

2 months ago I got approved for the Amazon credit card through chase, (signed up with Amazon) I never received a physical card in the mail. Now last night I got an email from chase saying my balance was DUE!!! I never once used the card! Okay, maybe it’s interest or it’s a fee or whatever. I’m trying to login to my account to view it but I don’t remember my login. Fine, but since I can’t login and I never got a physical card I cannot reset my password because it asks for card/account number. I can’t view either of those!!! Chase customer service was little help, and Amazon customer service straight up ignored me. I was told I need to contact chase with my address and they’ll send me a new card but I don’t live at that address anymore so I don’t know if they’ll even be able to send a new card. What do I do I’m freaking out here.

Every time I call Amazon’s customer service number 888-280-4331 it asks if I want a link to their customer service page. No matter what I say or do it texts me a link and hangs up. They say they delivered a package and didn’t (I have doorbell footage) so how do I get a person on the phone???

I just got approved for the card yesterday and my prime account is only showing the last 4 digits. Is there anyway I can find this info now?

They told me my card will come in the mail in about two weeks but idk if there’s anyway I can know this information prior to that.

Hello, I didn’t find this answer anywhere and looking for help. My spouse is a student and currently has Prime Student account for half the price of normal Prime. I want to get an Amazon Prime Card since I have better odds for approval. I don’t have an Amazon prime account. Can I open an Amazon Prime Card and link it to her account to get 5% cash back or is it not possible? Any workarounds?

I have had prime for many years and will continue it and recently wanted to get the credit card for small groceries purchases from Amazon fresh like less than $100 a month and it seems to have good reviews so I was wondering is it's worth it for small purchases? This is my first credit card so I figured I would ask outside of the reviews on Amazon. Any help and advice is welcome!

The Chase Banks all close in a few minutes and dont answer the phone when i called.. Does anyone know if i can go into Chase to pay my Amazon card? I dont like the idea of giving out my routing and account number.. especially when this charge wasnt even my doing. Amazon automatically applied the card to a subscription and charged it without me knowing until i looked. 😣 I kind of makes me want to remove the card entirely until im ready to use it...

My Wife has a 600ish credit score and tried to apply for the Prime Visa, and got denied. I suspect its the credit score.

She is the primary account person for our amazon prime account. I have my own profile underneath it as part of the amazon household. My credit score is 760ish so i figure i would apply instead, except it just keeps saying "Wife's name has already applied, you'll get the denial reason in 30 days, please wait 30 days, etc.".

Is there a way I can apply for it somehow, since surely I would get it and we use amazon everyday for us and our kids? Do i need to make a new prime account and then have her join mine? I am guessing my profile, as an adult profile under her account, is still counting as hers?

So I was on amazon trying to decide whether or not I was going to go through with buying the Meta Quest 3 through Affirm, and the $150 Gift card when approved for Prime Visa finally got the best of me. So instead of hitting prequalify I hit apply now. I have a $2,000 credit line with Amazon Prime Visa now and there is nowhere I can find to actually figure out how to 1) even look at the account, 2) Cancel the card if I want to (because you cannot ever speak to a real person at amazon), 3) how long the no interest period lasts for, and 4) whether or not I could balance transfer my current credit card balance with discover to my Prime Visa. I only have $1,606 balance with discover right now and the no interest grace period would be amazing to help me make that debt vanish. So I was just hoping to get some advice from some more experienced people

About two weeks ago, I bought a phone on Amazon. I decided to use up the offer of "create an Amazon credit card and get $150!". I was like "perfect, I'll save some money and pay the card right off!". Then I made the purchase, and then it turned out the Amazon card was somehow affiliated with Chase.

I went to my Amazon account, view statements, and it keeps sending a Chase log in popup.

I don't have anything at all with Chase. Did Amazon open a Chase account for me? Do I open a Chase account on my own and then transfer the Amazon credit card over?

I'm so completely lost. I don't even know if I have interest on it (I know it said before I opened the card but now I can't remember).

I've let two weeks pass by because school just started for me and it's been absolutely crazy, I've been either at work, school, sleeping, or doing homework.

I want to get the Amazon Prime Visa Credit card and have a few questions and here's a little background.

I have never had a credit card for a full day except a Macy's one I canceled on the same day but never received the physical card.

My Credit score is only 662 with only 1 line of credit ever from a 5 year car loan that I paid off without any problems. I had one Macy's Credit card that I canceled on the same day 5+ years ago and it's just sitting there as a closed account still.

I paid off my car years ago and my credit score has been sitting around the same number for years.

I want the Amazon Prime Visa Credit Card because I shop a lot on Amazon and want that 5% back savings and I'll be traveling a lot soon and want that 1% for any other purchases and I want to start building my credit with my first ever credit card. I want a credit card to fall back on incase I need it for an emergency. And I can use it for savings at Whole Foods and to save 2% on gas.

I've read that a 670 score is the minimal requirement and that 700+ score is recommended by experts to get the card.

Do I have to pay for the yearly Amazon Prime membership to get the Prime Visa or can I pay for the monthly plan to get it still?

I don't have a Chase online account either and no Chase bank account, does that matter? I have a bank I've been using for over 10 years and I have a Chime checking and savings account, too. I'm happy with my current bank (it's not a federal credit union) and with my Chime account.

Should I do a pre-qualify check or just go straight into a hard check if I qualify?

Should I make an account to try to get the card on the Amazon website first or on the Chase.com website first? What's the correct order and place to first sign up to try to get a Prime Visa Credit Card?

Should I try to get a different first credit card like the Chase Freedom Rise card at a local Chase building before doing all of this? I don't want a Chase bank account still. It'd be so nice to skip any other card and get the Prime Visa first but maybe I'm thinking about this all wrong.

Hello, I want to share a security issue that happened to me today. I am not sure if this is the right place for it. I am sharing it because this can happen to everyone.

I was living in the US until 2 years ago. Then I moved to Singapore. In this moving process, I lost all of my connections to my Amazon US account. The email was off, and my phone number also got canceled due to inactivity. Because of this, even if I knew my Amazon US password, there was no way to login and check.

Today, I received an email saying that a credit card payment has failed. Eventually, I saw that multiple purchases were made from my Amazon US account just last mongth, which should be impossible even for me.

I tried to fix this issue by logining in my Amazon Singapore account. But they couldn't do it because I was literally asking help for a different account that I have no access. Then I tried to do the same from Amazon US. They wanted to contact me but then it failed because I am outside of US. Eventually, after chatting with about 10 customer service guys, one of them gave me an international customer service phone number. I was on the phone for 50 minutes to prove that I was the actual owner. Anyway, after regaining access, I changed the email, deleted the credit card info, and added the correct phone number.

Then I realized that the person who made the unauthorized purchases was using my old phone number. Then it clicked. She (based on the purchases) somehow was able to use my Amazon US just by phone number. How is this even possible? Doesn't she need email confirmation or something? If this is so easy, people should check Amazon accounts every time they get a new phone number. There is a high chance that the phone number is assigned to some innocent person's Amazon account. Bingo!! Of course, this was a joke but I was very very surprised that this security leak was so easy. I had to remember multiple details about my life in the US just to prove that I am the true owner.

tldr; always use a permanent email access + remove your phone number from everywhere when you leave a country + Amazon security system sucks

I recently used a 1 week amazon prime trial and today a new visa showed up in the mail, even though the current one doesn't expire for another 4 years. There's no mention of having to call in to activate it, and the letter says "Your card is ready to use. You no longer need to verify your credit card." Has anyone had a similar experience? It seems someone could just steal your mail and you won't know they're using it until you get hit with the bill.

I recently found that an Amazon prime subscription and several small prime video purchases were being charged to my Amazon Chase card. I contacted Amazon support, who confirmed that my card was being used on another account whose first name starts with "F". We don't know anyone who that could be, so it's not legit. They recommended to contact Chase and dispute the charges, which we did.

Chase sent out a new card and I relinked the card to my Amazon account. Then, I noticed that it was charged again for two prime subscriptions - one on July 22 and one on Aug 1 (not mine, fraudulent). So, I contacted Amazon support again and gave them the transactions. Once again, they confirmed that it was not coming from my Amazon account. We asked if the first name started with F and he confirmed that it did.

As in, there are two Amazon accounts using the same card. After stopping the old card and requesting a new one, somehow the fraudulent Amazon account was able to still use the new card.

It sure seems like Amazon is somehow responsible for this, but they have been less than helpful other than escalating it to their account recovery team. I'm concerned that if we go through the process to get a new Chase card and link it again, that the same person will be able to use it. Does this seem like Amazon's fault and how can we get them to look into it?

I’m debating whether or not I should pick up the Amazon Prime Visa from Chase. Right now, I use my Amex Platinum for Amazon purchases and I don’t really mind since I’m getting MR points, but lately I’ve been thinking more about optimizing that 5% back with the Amazon card.

Not 100% sure if it’s worth adding another card just for that perk, especially since I already have Prime and my Plat handles most of my big purchases/travel. But curious if any of you have felt the upgrade was worth it or if it just ends up collecting dust.

Side question: does anyone know if the Amazon Visa is still metal? I’ve heard some folks in certain areas (I’m based in LA) were given a metal version, wondering if that’s still a thing or if they’ve switched to plastic across the board.
