For catalog Licenses are normally per year in duration. And if it’s not available later then most likely won’t come back as it’s views was low and those licenses are costly and it wasn’t renewed. There’s also licensing windows and that varies per distributor and network and territories. For example it’s theatrical for 3-6 months then rent then broadcast, while the European Amazon might just have it as rental and no other type. Every deal is different. In other words, it depends on the show, the network/distributor and it’s rights. And also the deals made. Maybe amazon gets exclusive rights to a show from Disney for one year or maybe they only get the est (rent) for a few months.
