I am looking to apply for this card. I am not overly familiar with what banks look at when applying but I would like to know what the people here think my odds are of obtaining this card
My oldest credit card is 10 months. I have a capital one platinum card, and a Target red card. My average credit age is 8 months. I’ve never missed a payment. My average credit usage is 18%. My credit score is 725. If there is an important stat I left out, then let me know. Otherwise, what are my odds for approval?
Thanks people

They have a $250 gift card offer on and I make a ton of purchases on Amazon like groceries, etc, especially since winter is here.
I have a 718 credit score (vantage 3.0 by Experian - not sure how trustworthy it is), but have had credit for only 3 months since I moved here abroad.
I’ve had only one card (Chase Freedom Rise - with 10% utilization monthly and balance paid fully and on time) for 2 months.
I have a Chase checkin account as well. Am not sure if it changes anything but I read on another thread that it might help.
Am I going to get declined for such a short credit journey? Or do you think I have a fair chance?
Since I’m building credit am wary a denial will bring the number down, so wanna know my odds! Thanks 🫡
Hi all,
Wondering what type of approval odds you think I have for the Amazon Prime Visa card. I’m worried to apply because of a relatively low income (because I’m a full time college student). Here are my credit details:
Age: 20y/o
Current cards:
Discover It, non-student (opened March 2021), $1800 limit
Capital One SavorOne Student (opened January, 2022), $3000 limit
Average account age: 11 months
Oldest age of account: 1 year 9 months
Chase 5/24 status: 2/5
Other credit history: 6 small federal student loans which I have not paid anything off yet (because Federal loan payments have been frozen due to covid). I owe less than $20k, and i’m fortunate that my parents are helping me with them.
Income: ~$9500 per year (includes summer earnings and work-study job at school) - I literally have zero living expenses however, since my parents are helping to pay a large part of my tuition as well as my full housing.
Monthly spend: < $150
FICO score: 737 (CreditKarma shows 722 from transunion and equifax)
I have zero relationship with Chase so far. My long-term plan is to get the Amazon Prime Card, hold that for awhile, show Chase I’m a responsible cardholder, then go for the CFF in another six months or so, and after graduation/getting a job/higher income go for the CFU and CFP for the trifecta.
What can I do to boost approval odds for this card? How do I communicate to Chase that I’m saving at least 80% of my income and have practically no expenses? Should i go straight for the CFF and just skip the Prime card?
Thanks!!!!!
So I wanted to see if anyone could give me the odds on the approval rates for the amazon prime visa. I have a 730 for my experian score, 753 on my transunion and all my credit cards have been paid off. I only have one loan but I’ve been paying more than the monthly and am months ahead of my payments (It’s not a crazy loan under 3k). I’ve applied already and just waiting for a response. I don’t really think I could get it, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about their experience of getting it.
