Amazon resale "Like new" could not have been more of a lie
Amazon made a big change and nobody is talking about it.
What happened to the great deals we used to get on Amazon Warehouse? Does anyone have another good go-to website for gently used items?
Can you resell the Amazon Lost Ark Founders Pack Key if you don't enjoy it?
Ordered a "Like new" computer case that came not only broken and missing ALL screws and connectors, but the entire side of the case was gone. The box it came in was worn and broken as well- no WAY anyone even looked at the box, let alone what was in it when they labelled that "Like new". I knew I was taking my chances, but this is really crazy. I would not buy this at a salvage yard.
Update Oct 3rd: They have completely removed descriptions of item condition. It seems like they are moving away from the open box items and are focusing on second hand. This is referring to Amazon resale which is sold and shipped by Amazon.
Note: this might only be for Amazon Canada
For years I've been using Amazon warehouse/resale and gotten some amazing deals on open box items or items with damaged boxes. Every item had a description of it's condition that would open in a text box when you clicked on "details". About a week ago they removed the details of the items. You can still see the word "details" but it doesn't reveal any information. I looked online assuming people would be raging about this but there is total silence. The first time I ordered something without the details they sent me an old worn out item that looked like it had been pulled from a dumpster. So basically they can send you items of any condition because they don't have to reveal the condition before the sale.
I used to be able to get great deals on returned shoes, clothing, etc., usually for less than $25. Now, the used name-brand things are marked way up and the cheap, weird brands are in my usual price range. They also limit the number of items that I can buy now. Tried to buy four bras at a low price and they limited me to two.
