Hello all! I have a quick question, I live in Orlando Florida and this past month I have noticed a lot of my packages have been coming late. Mostly the packages that have been handled my LaserShip and Amazon Logistics. They are arriving a day or 2 late. I have also noticed Amazon has been disabling Same Day delivery a lot as well. For example Thursday I was able to order for Same day delivery but Friday it was disabled and the earliest I could get any of my items was on Monday. Is there anything going on at the warehouses or shipping companies that could be causing this? Thanks for any insight yall could provide.
This has happened to me a few times and it’s super irritating. I’m trying to purchase two items that say they are eligible for same day shipping when spending over $35 on eligible items. Together they come to about $40. However, when I go to checkout it says the soonest they can be delivered is two days from now. I live in a large city and the weather is good so I can’t imagine it’s necessarily a delivery issue. Anyone know why this happens?
I’ve not seen a ‘same day’ delivery option on any of my Prime orders for at least 12 months. As next day is good enough for me I didn’t take much notice, but today at work my colleague ordered a new radio alarm clock and mentioned it should be delivered by 10pm today. I headed over to amazon, brought up the exact same clock and I’m only offered next day.
My colleague lives within a 20 minute drive from me and when we compared the same search results, several of his results were offering same day, whereas mine only offered next day.
Is there a premium Prime account I don’t know about?
ETA: It’s just occurred to me that the option for same day delivery disappeared around about the same time I moved into my new flat (Jan of 2021). Is it possible some areas are not eligible for SDD?
To start with, I know that many people who have Amazon Prime have been having issues with packages not being delivered on time for years now depending on where they are located...
However, I have had Amazon Prime for about 7 years now and regularly make at least one purchase from Amazon once every week, many weeks even more than that. But until recently, within the last two months, I never had even one order in the 7 years that I had Prime not be delivered on time, every single order was delivered exactly when they said it would be (although I had my fair share of ghost packages with holes in them and nothing in the package). But at the end of April, for the very first time, I had a delivery that was not made on time and ended up being 3 days late... That seemed like an isolated incident as the next 2 weeks once again went smoothly, but soon after that, all of a sudden, hardly anything got delivered on the date that was originally stated...and now NOTHING is on time, I don't even pay attention to the expected delivery date that is initially given as I know it will not be delivered then. Also, only once in a blue moon did Amazon hand off my deliveries to the USPS or FedEx but they are now doing it on a regular basis... So I'm assuming the area I live in, for whatever reason has been hit with a large decrease in delivery drivers, or a large increase in orders having to be fulfilled...
Has anyone else had a similar experience over the last few months?
Anyone else notice in the past few weeks that you can’t get anything delivered same day anymore? I’m in midtown.
I’d be curious if any Amazon folks on here have the scoop. Honestly it never seemed like a tenable business model to me - the delivery people seem like they’re always having a bad day.
Anybody else seeing that everything they try to order is arriving in 6-7 days now instead of 2 days. I saw a banner that they have disrupted transit because of storms but there isn't a huge storm right now and for the last 2-3 weeks its been showing items as arriving a week from now.
We're paying for prime for this?
I was wondering if anyone else was noticing the lack of a same day delivery option? over the past week or so I've noticed most if not all items are scheduled for a two-day delivery instead of one day or same day.
I opened to search for something innocuous and it said the earliest delivery was next Thursday. My partner and I both checked other items that we KNEW they'd have on-site (phone chargers, etc) and some things weren't slotted for delivery until freaking January. Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same.
Edit: I'm in Kettering, if that means anything. The fulfillment center behind the court is just a mile or 2 from me.
I have ordered same day delivery a few times now and every single time it has been delayed. Does anyone actually receive anything the same day? Why is this offered if it isn’t possible?
Last night I should have received a package and it was even marked delivered. Delivered at 6:55. I was outside grilling and I never saw any delivery vehicles. I live on a dead end so I think I would have noticed even if it was delivered to the wrong house.
I guess I’m just venting but I seriously don’t understand why services are offered that cannot be fulfilled.
I have read where many people have my same issue with same day delivery being unavailable so I’m hopeful there’s an answer somewhere. So Im a prime member that lives in Toronto and have enjoyed same day delivery since it started but now it’s all gone terrible. Same day delivery has been disappearing intermittently for over a year now. For example I can currently no longer see any items available on amazon with same day delivery. The first time this happened it lasted a week so when I finally I called up and complained suddenly next day or two it was working again. Then it all went down hill from there and got much worse. For example, if I search amazon anonymously then thousands of same day delivery items are readily available to me ( remember I live downtown Toronto ) and If I then add an item to my cart and sign in to order, the dates immediatly change to 2-4 days or longer delivery. I should mention that all the other thousands of same day delivery items I just saw annomously are also gone and totally unavailable to me as well. Basically not one thing on amazon with same day delivery even show up when I search after logging in. So a few dozen phone calls to support over this past year and no one can fix it. We tried resetting account, postal code etc. I even sent before and after screen grabs clearly showing this issue proving the date changes. Same day delivery would work fine for a few months and then suddenly nothing available again anywhere. then it would work again. I had about 5 same day delivery outages over the year ( ironically when same day option and all items would disappeared I could choose to PAY AMAZON EXTRA to have many items shipped next day but prime membership got me no same day nor anything for minimum 2-4 days at best). So finally , just a few weeks ago on my latest support call on this same issue, the Amazon reps could actually replicate the issue ( via logging in/out on my prime account and searching ) and yet he could do nothing as he ( and all other support staff over the past year) had no idea what to do. They keep sending it “up the ladder” and nothing ever happens.
So, I ended up finally resigning my prime membership out of frustration. They did give me all my money back for one whole year so that was cool of them.
About 3 weeks have passed since I quit prime and I tried an anonymous search on amazon.ca for all same day deliverable items, again thousands of items were available but when I go to order one and sign in, you guessed it, all same day items disappear again and goes to 4-10 day delivery only!
Amazon is now a broken buisness model and totally useless. Shame.
Same here, Chicago area always had free one day and free same day but as of Friday night all options were gone. even the check box for the search filter was gone. Now Sunday the one day options are back so it seems they might have suspended delivery for the weekend and trying to hide it. Called amazon but they played dumb. I am cancelling prime and have been spending my money elsewhere. Amazons not what it used to be.
Amazon is super convenient but lately I have been trying to get what I can locally. I prefer to buy from the stores because they employ people from my community. Amazon does not.
