Got a $50 VISA gift card and there are some things I want to buy. I tried adding it as a new debit/credit card and bought $80 worth of stuff thinking it would take the $50 then charge my default card for the rest but it just charged my default card instead.
I tried reloading gift card balance but there was no option to enter a VISA gift card, only to buy Amazon balance!
Maybe this is common sense, but don't buy Visa gift cards on Amazon.

I received a sealed $200 Visa gift card, only to discover upon opening and attempting to activate it that almost the entire balance had already been used. Amazon absolutely will not take responsibility for it, even though the theft definitely occurred either during or before the card was part of their supply chain.
I escalated up to the CEO's office, just to be told "it's against our policy to replace or refund for this type of product." So their official policy is that it's on you the consumer for being stupid enough to trust them not to sell you stolen Visa gift card.
So anyways, if you're planning to buy someone a Visa gift card, you should absolutely not buy it from Amazon- they can't be trusted to ensure the card information hasn't been stolen, or to do the right thing if it has.
