Went to the Wicked Sing Along yesterday (theater 25) and halfway into the movie, my neck started being itchy. I didn't think much of it but it continued to itch through the evening and I finally checked this morning to see a bunch of bites in my neck and upper back area (the only areas that were somewhat exposed) that are characteristic of bed bugs. The seats are still the old red fabric ones. I was row J. Be careful guys!
Edit: I just saw a tweet saying mad people got bed bugs from Wicked Sing Along and Nosferatu. Seems like it's everywhere.
Edit 2 (12/31): I just emailed the NYC councilman for District 3 and the NYS senator for that part of the city. If anyone has direct AMC sources, please DM me.
Anyone been to amc Lincoln square recently and can tell me if there are bed bugs ? I saw on tik tok that amc 34 and empire have bed bugs and I usually go to Kips bay but they didn’t have a showtime that worked for me so my black widow tickets are now in amc Lincoln square Dolby theatre. Would really appreciate anyone’s insight if you’ve recently visited
I've been there several times in the past month, and have never seen (or heard of) any unwanted life forms. I would suspect that Covid-motivated cleaning has helped. Much of the time there were hardly ANY life forms, including patrons, but that is really picking up now.
They made a few changes between Friday and Sunday - concessions are pretty much functioning in the pre-pandemic way, although only half the drink machines are open. Lots of hand sanitizer/wipe dispensers still in place.
Lincoln Square is very good
I use to read reviews of people complaining about seeing mice. I didn’t believe it until I saw my first mouse in auditorium 7 while watching Maxxxine. I didn’t think anything of it until I saw another mouse in Auditorium 10 when I was watching twisters in IMAX. Now Im starting to feel paranoid when I go see a movie. I have a fear of mice and roaches ( I haven’t seen a roach yet ) I saw Maxxxine again but this time was in Auditorium 4. When I was walking to my seat I almost tripped over wires that was coming out from underneath one of the seat.
When I saw twisters and went to fill my cup, the soda machine area smelled like cat litter. When I went to get ketchup for my hot dog, the area where they kept the packets was dirty.
There are 2 employees ( they look like teenagers) one girl is short. This happened when I watched twisters. after I bought some stuff from concessions and walked away I overheard her say something about me and they both started to laugh loud. When I was waiting for my food in the back, I overheard her talking about the other person that was paying for their things. when I bought 3 planet of the apes tins awhile ago, this same employee gave me a rude smirk and laughed when I asked for my popcorn because each container comes with a large popcorn. I guess my question is whatever happened to treating people with kindness and respect? I’m an introvert. I avoid people and don’t speak to anyone unless I have to so there’s no reason for anyone to be rude to me. also when is AMC gonna get rid of these mice?
Coming here to warn those who have been to AMC Village 7 recently or plan on going. I saw Caught Stealing on August 31st in theater 3, seat D13, and I hate to say this but... I am almost 100% positive I was bitten by bedbugs during this showing. The week after the showing, I have counted around 15 different red, persistent bites all over my body (mostly arms, a couple on my legs, and the collarbone area, and one even on my face EWWW!) After extensive research, I am sure they are bedbug bites and am praying they didn't come home with me. I am so sad because this is my go-to theater for seeing movies with my A-list membership. Considering cancelling my membership as I am really disturbed.
